Day 1 : Delhi to Manali by bus check- in to hotel
Delhi to Manali by bus check- in to hotel
Day 2 : Manali to Chandertal (4200m by car 5hrs)
Drive to Rotang pass (3998m 5 hrs) this is the gateway of Lahaul & Spiti dist. This offers extensive view of Pir Panjal range. This is beautiful lake and source of river Chandra. Shepherds of Kangra valley can be seen with the flocks. Over night at camp.
Day 3 : Chandertal to Kaza (3600m) 5 Hrs
Chander Tal to Kunzom Pass (4590m) by walk to see view of C B, Shingri range and explore the area. Losar is the first village of spiti valley. Over night at hotel.
Day 4 : Kaza to Tabo 05hrs (3060m)
Drive to Lalung (Lingti Valley) Monastery which is the most important gonpa in the valley. Continue drive to Dankhar monastery the ancient capital of Spiti King the Monastery situated high on the barron mud mountain slopes. After Dankhar start to Tabo the oldest monastery in Indian Himalaya around 1000yrs old, the Ajenta of Himalaya. Over night at hotel.
Day 5 : Tabo to Pin Valley (3730m) 3hrs
After breakfast start to Pin valley, on the way visit to Hungry monastery which is the most important monastery (the sect of Nyigmapa) in the valley. Pin valley is known for its national park the house of snow leopard, Ibex and many birds. Night at hotel or home stay.
Day 6 : Pin Valley to Kaza
To get permit to inner line and go up to Langcha and Komik (4500m) Langcha situated at large high mountain meadow .komik is highest monastery in the world and for fossil and back to Kaza.
Day 7 : Kaza to Kibber (4200m) 3 Hrs
On the way visit to famous Ki monastery high on the pyramid like a mountain, the belong to Gelukpa sect. Kibber the one of the highest habitant village in the world situated at the elevation of 4200m located at semi bowl shaped narrow valley. Small walk to surrounding area to acclimatize. Night at camp or hotel.
Day 8 : Kibber to Thaltak (4875m)-11km 5/6 Hrs
First day trek leaving Kibber start trek to thaltak, just behind of Kibber decent 500m gorge name Parilungbi and small stream until Dumla. Camp at thaltak
Day 9 : Thaltak Jagtha - Bonrojen (5180m) - 14kms/7hrs
This is a long and strenuous day walking to Jagtha – 8kms at 15,700 ft. and then 6kms to Bongrojen at 17,000ft.
Day 10 : Bongrojen – Dak Karzong (4940m) - 10 kms/5hrs
Leave early for the pass. The final 4 kms is a steep 2-hour climb to Parang La at 18,300 ft.. The pass lies on the trade route between Ladkah and the Spiti valley. There are some great views of the Spiti and the Changthang valleys from the pass. Parilungi, a conical peak, is the first Ladakhi peak visible from Spiti. From the pass, we descend to the source of the Pare Chu river. After the pass, the landscape changes dramatically from steep gorges to broad plains. Camp at Dak Karzong.
Day 11 : Dak Karzong - Datang Yongma (4725m) - 12kms/5hrs
The route for the next 3 days is in a fairly open valley with a well-marked trail on the left bank of the Pare Chu. Camp overnight at Datang Yongma.
Day 12 : Datang Yongma – Chumik Shilde - 16kms/5-6 hrs
Today we follow the trail to Racholemo (14000 ft.) then Norbu Sumdo (14400 ft.) and across to Chumik Shilde. Start early, as the winds can be strong in the afternoons.
Day 13 : Chumik Shilde – South of Tso Moriri (4510m) - 14kms/5hrs
Today we walk across the plains to the southern edge of the oval-shaped Tso Moriri at Kingdom, named after the kiangs (wild Tibetan asses) which roam here freely. The lake breaks into several channels here to create a vast wetland, the breeding ground of several rare species of birds.
Day 14 : South of Tso Moriri – Karzog (4527m) - 15 kms/6-7hrs
The last day of the trek passes along the shore of Tso Moriri . The view of the lake with Lungser Kangri (6666m/21,871ft.) in the background is unforgettable. The walk is longer than it looks and with the afternoon winds you will be tired when you reach Karzog. Visit the ancient monastery in Karzog, where the Changpas roam the pastures with their flocks of pashmina goats and still live in yak-skin yurts.
Day 15 : Drive to Leh or Keylong
LEH Rest day in Leh/ visit the Leh palace, Shey, Hemis and Thiksey monastery. Leh is the capital of Ladakh. Ladakh remained close to visitors until 1973 when it was opened for Tourism. Leh was an important station on the silk route from China . Overnight stay in Leh
