Day 1 : Arrival Delhi
Today you arrive at Delhi airport. Our driver /representative will meet you on your arrival and then you are transferred to your hotel (Normal check-in time at hotel is 12 noon). Rest of the day is free for you. Overnight in hotel.
Delhi is a city built and re-built seven times over several centuries. The capital city today marries the quaint and unique elements of different historical eras with the pace of the bustling, growing economy. At every turn of the road, the past and present coexist.
Day 2 : Delhi city tour
After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Old Delhi. You will visit the Red Fort, see Chandni Chowk Bazaar on your way to visit Jama Masjid. One of the largest mosques in the world and the largest in India, it was built by Shah Jahan to dominate the city. Visit the Raj Ghat, a memorial built to commemorate the site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation. Later in the afternoon you will visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Qutub Minar, India’s tallest minaret, made of red sandstone and marble and inscribed with verses from the Qur’an. Stop next at Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO World Heritage site and tomb of a Mughal emperor dating back to the 1500s. Next, pass under the high stone archway of India Gate – constructed in the memory of Indian soldiers who died in World War I – and drive along Rajpath (King's Way), the ceremonial boulevard heading toward Rashtrapati Bhavan, official home to the President of India. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3 : Delhi to Amritsar
Today after an early breakfast you will transfer to railway station for your train to Amritsar. Check-in to your hotel on arrival Amritsar. Evening visit the Wagah Border to witness the beating retreat ceremony at sunset. You will also visit the Golden Temple, illuminated with lights in the evening. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4 : Amritsar to Dharamshala (220 kms /6 hours)
Morning after breakfast visit Jallianwala Bagh, Golden Temple, Mata Mandir, Durgiana Temple. Later in the afternoon drive to Dharamshala. Check-in at hotel on arrival. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 5 : Dharamshala tour
Morning after breakfast proceed for local Dharamshala sightseeing like Lord Eligin's Memorial, Dal lake, Bhagshunath Temple and Water Fall, Dalai Lama Temple, Cricket Stadium. Enjoy natural beauty and the local market in the vening. Overnight in hotel.
Day 6 : Dharamshala to Amritsar (220 kms /6 hours)
After breakfast spend some time at leisure. Later drive back to Amritsar. Check-in at hotel on arrival. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7 : Amritsar to Haridwar (Train dep. 6.50 hours / arrival 14.10 hours)
Early morning breakfast and then departure transfer to railway station for train to Haridwar. Transfer to hotel on arrival. Later in the evening witness Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 8 : Haridwar and Rishikesh tour
After breakfast visit Mansa Devi. Later drive to Rishikesh. Visit Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Lakshman Temple, Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Evening see the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan. Return to Haridwar. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 9 : Haridwar to Delhi (Train dep. 6.20 hours / arrival 11.15 hours)
Early morning departure transfer to railway station for train to Delhi. Transfer to hotel on arrival. In the afternoon you can go for a visit to Akshardham Temple.Counted among the world’s wondrous houses of worship, it showcases the blend of technical modernity with traditional architectural styles. Covering an area of over 8,000 square meters, the grandeur and wisdom behind the temple is best when experienced. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10 : Delhi to Agra (210 kms /4 1/2 hours)
Today after breakfast you will drive to Agra. Visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula, called the ‘Baby Taj’. The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628 has walls made of white marble from Rajasthan, encrusted with semi-precious stone decorations. Later visit the Agra Fort built by three generations of Mughal Emperors between 1565 and 1573. It housed both the presidential Palaces of the Royal family, and the military quarters. Overnight in hotel.
Akbarabad, as Agra was known during the Mughal era, is home to some of the most magnificent Mughal architectures. Situated on the banks of river Yamuna, the monumental beauty of Agra has inspired countless people around the world. This third largest city of the state of Uttar Pradesh is home to three UNESCO world heritage sites.
Day 11 : Agra to Jaipur (235 kms /6 hours)
Today early morning at sunrise you will visit the world - famous Taj Mahal - 'the 7 wonders of World’ was built by Shah Jehan to immortalize the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who died tragically in 1631 (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). Return to hotel for breakfast.
Later drive to Jaipur, enroute you will visit the Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. On arrival check-into hotel. Rest of the evening you are free for leisure, or you may prefer to go out shopping in the city. Overnight in hotel.
Jaipur - Beautiful palaces, forts and colourful bazaars speak of the pink city’s glorious regal past. Modernity walks hand-in-hand with history. This largest city of Rajasthan, founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, is famous for its magnanimous hospitality.
Day 12 : Jaipur city tour
After breakfast, visit Amber - the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire, while ascending the fort you can go on elephant back, or jeep or just prefer walking upto the top. It is a deserted palace surrounded by majestic ramparts & the magnificent public & private room's evidence the splendor of the rulers of 16th & 17th century Rajasthan. Later in the day continue tour of the Pink city visiting the imposing City Palace now a museum, the ancient Observatory, The exotic Palace of the Winds & the picturesque bazaars of the walled city. Overnight in hotel.
Day 13 : Jaipur to Pushkar (150 kms /3 hours)
After breakfast drive to Pushkar. Enroute you will stop at Ajmer visiting the Dargah. The dargah of Moinuddin Chishti (Gharib Nawaz -Benefactor of the Poor), known as Ajmer Sharif Dargah or Ajmer Sharif, is an international waqf, an Islamic mortmain. Later see the famous Pushkar Lake and the Temple. The temple is the only temple in the world which is dedicated to Lord Brahma.
Pushkar town becomes lively in the month of November when tourists from the world over come to see the annual cattle fare held here.
Day 14 : Pushkar to Udaipur (290 kms /6 hours)
Today after breakfast you will drive to Udaipur. On arrival Udaipur you will transfer to hotel. In the evening you can enjoy a boat ride on the lake Pichola. Overnight in hotel.
Udaipur, the city of lakes casts its spell and everyone gets mesmerized by it. Proffering a perfect mélange of culture, history and traditions, the gorgeous city makes for the perfect honeymoon destination, cultural centre and face of Rajasthan.
Day 15 : Udaipur city tour
After breakfast proceed for an excursion tour to Nagda and Eklinji. Nagda is a small town near Udaipur that is famous for its Sas-Bahu Temple. Eklingji is believed to be the ruling deity of Mewar Princely State and the Ruler Maharana rules as his Dewan. Next proceed for city tour, visit City Palace and the Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum, Saheliyon-ki-bari, the ‘ladies garden, Jagdish Temple. Overnight in hotel.
Day 16 : Udaipur to Delhi (any afternoon flight)
Today after breakfast you will have some free time in the morning. Afternoon you are transferred to airport for your flight to Delhi. Transfer to hotel on arrival. Overnight in hotel.
Day 17 : Delhi – departure
Today you are transferred to airport for connecting your international return flight.
