Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Negombo

  Welcome by our representative at Airport and transfer to Negombo.
  
  Negombo is a major city in Sri Lanka, on the west coast of the island and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon, in Western Province, Sri Lanka. Negombo is a modest beach town located close to Bandaranaike International Airport.
  
  Visit to Negombo Beach and Dutch Canal, Negombo Fort was a small but important fort in the town of Negombo, The Dutch Forts of Sri Lanka - The Military Monuments of Ceylon.
  
  Overnight stay in Negombo.

• Day 2 : Puttalam

  After breakfast, visit Puttalam.
  
  Puttalam is known for energy production, salt, coconut production and fishing. It has one of the largest lagoons in the country. Puttalam is popularly known for kind and hospitality people. It has many virgin tourist destinations such as Wilpattu National Park, Kalpitiya, and virgin beaches, natural resources, Dolphin watch, carol watch and sand dunes etc.
  
  Visit to Wilpattu National Park - Wilpattu National Park is situated in the dry zone, and is unlike any other wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka. ‘Villu’ are shallow natural lakes filled with rainwater surrounded by open grassy plains amidst the dense scrub jungle.
  
  Overnight stay in Puttalam.

• Day 3 : Habarana

  After breakfast, visit Habarana.
  
  Habarana is a popular tourist destination for safari lovers as it is the starting point for safaris in the nearby Habarana jungle and the Minneriya sanctuary which is heavily populated by elephants. Elephant back riding is also an attraction in this small city.

  After breakfast, visit Habarana.
  
  Visit to Kaudulla National Park. Kaudulla is the newly established national park in the heart of the cultural triangle. Kaudulla in the country and has excellent potential for viewing elephant and other species of wildlife.

• Day 5 : Kandy

  After breakfast, visit Kandy.
  
  Visit the Temple of Tooth. The main attraction of the city and also the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka is where one of Buddha's tooth is being kept. Built in the 16th century but improvements and additions have been done to this structure until the fall of the Kandy kingdom. A golden canopy was added recently. Daily rituals are being carried out at various offering times to the shrine.

• Day 6 : Kandy

  After breakfast, visit Matale (Knuckles Mountain Range).
  
  Knuckles Massif or the Knuckles Mountain Range is part of the Hill Country of Sri Lanka which is also above 3000 Ft or 915 Mts. from sea level. This is also called as Knuckles Range or Knuckles Peaks or simply as Knuckles. The reason to call it Knuckles is because, there is a mountain with five peaks in itself, that looks like the knuckles of a clenched fist when seen from Kandy area.

• Day 7 : Yala

  After breakfast, visit Yala.
  
  Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public, and also adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names such as, Ruhuna National Park (block 1) and Kumana National Park or 'Yala East' for the adjoining area.
  
  Including Sri Lankan elephant, 44 species of mammals are resident in Yala National Park, and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. 25 individual leopards are estimated to roam in Block I. The elephant herd of Yala contains 300–350 individuals. Sri Lankan sloth bear, Sri Lankan leopard, Sri Lankan elephant, wild water buffalo are threatened species that Yala is harboring.

• Day 8 : Hikkaduwa

  After breakfast, visit Hikkaduwa.
  
  Surfing in Hikkaduwa
  
  Hikkaduwa beach and night life make it a popular tourist destination. It is a well-known international destination for board-surfing. 14 km away from Galle was the first (1960’s) of Sri Lanka’s beautiful beaches to be discovered by tourists. Snorkeling and diving in the clear waters are a major past-time along this stretch and is the most environmentally friendly way to see the colorful fish that dart around.
  
  Overnight stay in Hikkaduwa.

  After breakfast, visit Hikkaduwa.
  
  Hikkaduwa Coral Gardens
  
  The reef of lime stones protects the corals from high tide. The coral type found mostly here is the type locally called “Gampara”. These corals are found in various forms, shapes and colours. They are a very fascinating sight especially when there is bright sunlight which gives a very clear view of the corals.
