Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive in Sri Lanka

  On your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will then transfer you to Dambulla (140 km / 4 hours). Check-in and relax before you start exploring the city. Here is found the famous Rock Temple dating to the 1st Century B.C. The caves of Dambulla sheltered King Walagamba during his 14 years of exile from Anuradhapura. When he regained the throne he built the most magnificent of Rock Temples to be found in the island. Later in the evening, visit to Climb Sigiriya Rock, which is a world heritage site and the 5th century Fortress in the Sky, which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that is standing at the entrance to the palace on the summit of the 600-foot high rock. The Water Gardens, Fountain Garden, summer-house, Boulder Gardens and the Caves with the enclosed are places that should not be missed. Return and stay overnight at the hotel.
• Day 2 : Drive from Dambulla to Kandy

  After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and thereafter transfer to Kandy (80 km / 2 hours). Check- in and relax, before you start your evening city tour of Kandy. The tour includes visits to Upper Lake Drive, Market Square and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. You will also visit the Royal Botanical Gardens— Peradeniya, which started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers inside the garden. Return and relax overnight at the hotel.
• Day 3 : Day at leisure

  Post a filling breakfast at the hotel, step out and enjoy the day at leisure. Return and stay overnight at the hotel.
• Day 4 : Drive from Kandy to Colombo

  After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and proceed to Colombo (120 km / 3 hours). Check-in, relax and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay remains at the hotel.
• Day 5 : Sightseeing in Colombo

  Post a filling breakfast at the hotel head for a morning city tour of Colombo. A drive through the city takes you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street-the Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dewatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. Return and relax overnight at the hotel.
• Day 6 : Depart from Colombo

  After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport to board your flight for back home.
