Day 2 : Tbilisi, City tour
After the breakfast, we will start our amazing city tour. Tbilisi city tour is the most exciting experience, since it is the capital city of Georgia founded by King Vakhtang Gorgasali in 6th century. Tbilisi is the best combination of cultural differences. You will believe in the power of these words while examing its greatness. Firstly, we will visit the old town of Tbilisi, which is extremely unique with its architecture, local markets, souvenirs, tiny colorful streets, fortresses and views. We will see worldwide famous Sulfur baths, Georgian-Armenian churches and Shiite Mosque side by side, reflecting city’s acceptance and tolerance of different religions. Also, we will examine Narikala fortress by lift, which is one of the oldest historical building in our country – established in 4th century. Happily, we will visit well-known Churches – Anchiskhati and Sioni, while exploring incredible old town. We will walk through Meidan Square as well. Gladly, we will observe extremely important monument – Tbilisi Sameba Cathedral, which is the largest Cathedral in Caucasus region. We will have chance to see beautiful Metekhi cliff with colorful buildings and churches on it – undoubtedly catchy view. Walking through the tine streets we will examine Shardeni Street, which is famous for cozy café-bars and art galleries. Finally, you will drive down to Rustaveli Avenue, where attractions, such as the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Parliament, Rustaveli Theatre and famous art galleries will draw your attention and provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Day 3 : Tbilisi-Uplistsikhe-Mtskheta-Tbilisi
After breakfast, we will start our journey to Uplistsikhe. On the way, you will have a great opportunity to view The Holy Cross Monastery of Jvari – a monument, which speaks for the Christianity history in Georgia and the views from the monastery will positively surprise you. After this fantastic experience, we will drive to Uplistsikhe, which is undoubtedly one of the most required destinations since this is the town in the cave. It represents medieval times when this location was the safest place to live. Word to word Uflistsikhe means “Lord’s fortress”, which directly implies that this place is peaceful, safe, and reliable. You will have a chance to examine this fantastic town from the inside, you will touch the history without any barriers. Through the stone road, you will hike up to the church from where a beautiful view appears. On the way back we will visit Mtskheta. Mtskheta is admired destination from all over the world. It offers a culture, which combines the Roman, Persian, and Byzantium Empires. Mtskheta is the previous capital city of Georgia, which speaks of its greatness and importance to the Georgian People. Architecture, local markets, hand-made pottery goods, beautiful authentic colors, greetings from local people, and delicious food will make you fall in love with Mtskheta. UNESCO fights for keeping its authenticity since it gathers quite many historical buildings. Among them, we should mention the fantastic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which you will examine.
In fact, in 1973 UNESCO approved Mtskheta as a town museum and started a plan to keep it. You will visit and learn about the city, which carries great history and experience.

Day 4 : Tbilisi-Telavi-Tsinandali-Ikalto-Alaverdi-Tbilisi
After breakfast, we will start our journey to Kakheti – a capital region of Wine. This experience will stay in your heart and mind forever since it opens door to the local culture, cuisine, traditions, lifestyle, and people. Firstly, we will visit the regional city center of Kakheti – Telavi. Telavi will make you believe in its power of peace. Its architecture, colors, streets, historical monuments, and local people will positively surprise you. Mainly, several centuries of oak trees in the middle of the city will positively surprise you. In Telavi, you will have an informative city tour and the opportunity to visit the local goods markets to deeply touch the locals. Talking about Kakheti Region, we should mention its main value – Wine. All across the globe, Wine specialists truly honor Georgian Wine, Grape Culture, and the unique wine-making tradition. Even walking through the streets, we will mention Georgian Traditional Wine Utensils called Kvevri. In fact, Kvevri is kept by UNESCO because of its history, importance, and uniqueness. To examine Georgian Wine you will have lunch at Shumi Winery, which offers local wine degustation and delicious local food lunch. You will learn about the tradition of making wine in a Georgian way using kvevris – this is the experience you will see only in Georgia! After this journey, we will move to Tsinandali. We will examine Tsinandali Museum with amazing colorful architecture, history and well-cared yards. Tsinandali is kept a museum of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, which dates back to the 19th century. Museum keeps its main cultural and intellectual direction since it still hosts exhibitions, galleries, and lectures. Tsinandali is the first European-type recreation space. European architects and gardeners were brought by Alexander himself. Pay attention to ‘THE LOVE LANE’ in the garden! It is believed that lovers should pass the lane with closed eyes and bright hearts to have a happy life. In fact, this is the place where Alexander’s daughter Nino met his life lover- Griboedov. Considering the Georgian Winemaking tradition, we will undoubtedly degustate one sort of Georgian wine in an old, historical Tsinandali Winery – this is the experience you will never forget. After this amazing journey, you will visit Ikalto Monastery founded in the 6th century. Later on, the place became the spiritual and educational center of eastern Georgia. This fact speaks for its importance to Georgian people. You will get all the interesting facts about Ikalto during the excursion. After Ikalto we will see Alaverdi Cathedral as well. The story of Alaverdi Cathedral is connected to the monk Ioseb, came in the 6th century from Assyria and preached Christianity to the local population.
Alaverdi Cathedral’s location is stunning with huge straight land around it. This view will amaze you. By In this experience, you will deeply touch on the lives of people, who have a great history, good humor and admire wine.
Drive back to Tbilisi.
