Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival and Proceed to Kandy

  On arrival at the Bandaranayke International Airport, you will be blessed to get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality; A Representative from Island Leisure Lanka will welcome you at the Airport & proceed to Kandy.
  En route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

  Pinnawela orphanage is situated northwest of the town Kegalle, halfway between the present capital of Colombo and the ancient royal residence Kandy in the hills of central Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Wildlife department. This 24 acres, large elephant orphanage is an also breeding place for elephants, more than twenty elephants were born since 1984, and it has the greatest herd of elephants in captivity in the world.
  
  Visit Spice Gardens
  
  Sri Lanka is famous for its spices and spices gardens. These spice gardens offers tourists memorable visits to various spice plantations in Sri Lanka.

Kandy features the most sacred of all Buddhist shrines -the temple of the tooth or The Dalada Maligawa, which holds the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha.
  
  When in city tour you will have the time to do some shopping in Kandy, where you could fetch souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony, bronze, ceramics, lacquer work, handlooms, batiks, jewelry and reed-ware at bargain prices!!

• Day 2 : Visit Botanical Garden & Then proceed to Nuwara eliya

  One of the most popular attractions in Sri Lanka, the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya is located close to the city of Kandy. Established in 1843, the Peradeniya Garden features more than 10,000 different plants and trees which include over 4,000 labeled species. The beautifully landscaped and maintained garden is also famous for its collection of orchids, medicinal plants and palm trees. The National Herbarium is also attached to the garden while the spice garden is one of the main highlights here.
  
  Proceed to Nuwara Eliya

NuwaraEliya has a much cooler climate, which is in stark contrast to the tropical climate experienced in other parts of the island. The mountains surrounding Nuwara Eliya is covered with a carpet of tea bushes and the whole process of tea manufacturing, from green leaf to the fragrant contents of a packet of Ceylon Tea, can be watched at many of the tea factories in the area.

• Day 3 : A Day leisure in Nuwara eliya

  Spectacular sceneries and places of interest are endless around Nuwara Eliya. Seeing the famous Anglican Church, strolling in the Victoria Park, boating at Gregory Lake, pony and horse riding at the Turf Club are a few things available for your enthusiasm inside the town. The hikes would take you around the beautiful landscape which is full of waterfalls and plateaus jeweled with a variety of flowers and plants.
  
  Today you can visit the Seetha Amman Temple, Seetha Eliya
  
  The stream that runs from the hill, catered to the needs of Sitadevi during her stay at Ashoka Vatika. She is said to have bathed in this stream. Now there is a temple erected for Lord Rama, Sitadevi, Luxshmana and Hanuman by the side of this stream.

• Day 4 : Proceed to MT. Lavinia (Colombo) Via Kitulagala
