We are introducing this trip for and calling it Srinagar - Ladakh - Manali Motorbike Tour. The same program can be undertaken by the jeep safari travelers too. This journey starts from the heart of Kashmir, Srinagar which is known as paradise on earth. Srinagar spreads out on the both sides of the river Jhelum. The Valley's beauty has enticed visitors from distant lands. Srinagar bears hallmark of the Mughals, splendid formal gardens laid out by the Mughal emperors for their enjoyment are beautifully maintained. Houseboats on the lake - the British solution to the law that prevented them from owning property, are an exciting alternative to the more traditionalhotels.
The journey of Srinagar includes its beautiful gardens, excursion of winter sports paradises and golf course center Gulmarg and later it takes on to another beautiful destination of Sonmarg. The second coldest place on world falls in this route once we leave Srinagar and move to Kargil, named Drass. The first mountain pass we encounter is Zozi La Pass and afterwards it is a series of high passes on this route. Kargil is popular for its war memorials of 1999 between India and Pakistan and after Kargil we stop at Lamayuru, the monastic architect of Buddhist civilization with its oldest monastery in the valley.
Leh is the next stoppage after Lamayuru and this expedition route includes more colors because of unique inclusion of mighty lakes of Ladakh and Changthang regions like Tsemoriri and Pangong Tso lakes. The drive/ride to the top of Khardung La Pass and then getting down to Nubra Valley is another charm besides awe inspiring and enjoying rides throughput the high mountains of the world.
The last stage of the expedition after Tsemoriri Lake takes us towards Himachal Pradesh crossing four more high passes and we enter into Manali at the end of expedition journey. From here after getting relaxed one day, we drive to Chandigarh and take train to Delhi. The last day is free to see interesting places in and around Delhi before we take our flights back to our countries.

Day 4 : Srinagar to Kargil (204 Kms)
Leave early morning and drive through the thickly forested Sonmarg and onwards to cross Zoji la Pass (3529 meters / 11645 feet). Travel across Drass (supposedly the second coldest inhabited place in the world). Visit the Kargil War Memorial at Drass. You can also view the infamous war peaks of Tiger Hill, situated on the banks of river Suru at a height of 9,000 feet, midway between Srinagar and Leh, reach Kargil by evening. Overnight at hotel in Kargil.
Day 5 : Kargil to Lamayuru(110 Kms)
After breakfast we start from Kargil to Lamayuru and around 40 Kms down the road is the town of Mulbek, a sleepy town which many would pass through without knowing the fact that next to the road is a statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha. It is believed that the 9 meter high statue carved out of solid rock was built in 7th or 8th century. Although one is not allowed to take photographs of the statue, the statue itself is a must see for any one passing through Mulbek. A short ride from Mulbek will take you to 12198 ft high Namika La, a windy yet scenic pass. Roughly at about 40 Kms from Namika La is Fotu La, the highest point on the Srinagar - Leh highway, (13,479ft). After short yet scenic ride/drive you will reach the village of Lamayuru, which houses one of the most famous and oldest monasteries of Ladakh. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6 : Lamayuru to Leh with Alchi Monastery visit (125 Kms)
Morning we start from Lamayuru to Leh and visit Alchi and Likir Monasteries on the way. Alchi has an eleventh century Gompa with lovely paintings and statues. The monastery is on the bank of the Indus at about 70 kilometers from Leh. The Indus flows beside the Gompa. The Gompa at Likir has a big statue of Maitreya Buddha. This Gompa was built in the eleventh century but was burnt down. It was rebuilt in the nineteenth century. Arrive Leh in the afternoon and rest of the day is free for individual activities.
Day 7 : Leh to Khardung-La and Nubra valley (126 Kms)
Exciting experience at Khardung La, 39 Kms from Leh. (Mountain Pass at 5578 m / 18300 ft.). This is supposed to be the highest Motorable road in the world. In Nubra Valley, visit Diskit, Hunder villages and the white sand dunes and take a short camel safari on the double humped Bactrian Camels. Overnight in Nubra Valley.
Day 8 : Nubra Valley to Leh
In the morning after breakfast check out and proceed to explore Samstanling Monastery and Sumur village and then drive back to Leh, passing Khardung La once again. Drop to hotel and lunch. Rest of the day for leisure or take a walking tour and explore Leh Bazaar and the cafes' on your own. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 : Leh to Pangong Tso Lake (171 Kms)
Start off from Leh early in the morning after breakfast and start driving/riding on the Leh - Manali highway till you reach the town of Karu. Road is in good condition and journey is fast paced, due to this you will be in Karu in less than an hour. From Karu you need to take the left turn that would take you to the village Shakti, roads are mostly straight till you cross Shakti and a few kilometer thereafter the real ascent for Chang La starts. For most part ascent is steep and initially roads are in good condition. As you approach the final few Kms of the ascent to Chang La, road conditions start to deteriorate and steepness increase, making the affair of reaching the summit of Chang La more challenging and memorable. After a few minutes rest, its time to begin the descent from Chang La and your next big break will be at Thicksey. Journey beyond Thicksey for most part is through fantastically laid tarmac and views, as you approach the lake, the sheer size of it starts becoming more apparent as you finally reach its shores. Overnight in Fixed Camp.
Day 10 : Pangong Tso lake tour and move to Upshi (155 Kms)
Morning after magnificent views of Pangong Tso lake, we start the day for Upshi which is on Manali Leh highway. WE follow the same route and reach Karu from where we lead to Upshi for further less than an hour’s time.
Day 11 : Upshi to Tso Moriri (overnight there)
Morning we start from Upshi to Chumathang covering a distance of 95 Kms. From the roundabout at Upshi take the left turn and a few hundred meters down the road is the check post where you need to submit your permits. For better part of the journey you will have the Indus River for company and tarmac is in good condition for most part, barring few landslide prone stretches. From Chumathang, 60 Kms is the destination Tsemoriri Lake. It is a relatively easy drive till Sumdo, few Kms after which it is best not to use the road since it is too bumpy, instead either make your own track by driving/riding off road or use one of the numerous tracks left by passing vehicles. The last 30kms are a pain, but a boon for those who love off road riding/driving, the track here is a mix of sandy and dirt trails littered with small stones. However the view one gets at the end of it makes it all worth it. Tso Moriri is smaller than Pangong Tso and fewer people come here, it is more beautiful in some ways due to the fact that area surrounding Tso Moriri is a wild life reserve and one can see Tibetan wild ass (Kiang), marmots, red foxes and quite a few migratory birds. Overnight at Fixed Camp.
Day 12 : Tso Moriri circle to Tsokar (80 Kms)
Morning you can witness the most beautiful scenes of Tsemoriri lake and after breakfast start to Tsokar. After a nice hike around Tso Moriri, visit Korzok Gompa and nomad areas. It is believed that Tsokar was once connected to Tso Moriri, even though Tsokar is a salt water lake while Tso Moriri is fresh water. The area surrounding Tsokar is protected and forms the Tsokar wild life sanctuary. Overnight at Fixed Camp or Adventure India Mobile Camp.
Day 13 : Tsokar to Sarchu (118 Kms)
After breakfast drive/ride to Pang. This will be 60 km down hill drive first and then you will need to cross Pang. Pang is the tiny migrated markets in Leh-Manali road. At Pang you will find the eating places run by the people of Ladakh who shift here for business during summers and other residents in this area are the Army people. Just cross Pang and drive through "the morey plains" which is at an average height above 4000 M) and stretches for almost 35 Kms and after crossing another two high passes (Lachung La 5095M & Nakee La 4905M), reach Sarchu which is a flat area under Baralacha La on the other side and where the evening are normally windy. Overnight at Fixed Camp.
Day 14 : Sarchu to Manali (222 Kms)
Morning after camp breakfast we drive for Manali where soon after the camp at Sarchu we start climbing high to the top of Baralacha La and then get down to other side passing through a beautiful lake Suraj Tal. The descend takes to Patseo and Darcha and further to Jispa and Keylong. Keylong is the headquarter of tribal district Lahoul Spiti and after having our lunch here, we further drive towards Rohtang La, the last pass on our journey, where 51 Kms down to the pass lies a beautiful hamlet of Manali. Overnight at hotel.
