Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Srinagar

  On arrival at the Srinagar Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlum river, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir. Arrive and check in at hotel / Houseboat. Later some half a day of local sightseeing of Srinagar which include the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother -in- law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background .

• Day 2 : Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar (60 Km / 2 Hrs)

  Morning after breakfast process for full day trip for Gulmarg(Meadow of Flowers) 2730 mts. above the sea level. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesue market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg.
  Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course with 18 holes. If weather permits one can also have the view of Nanga Parbat, the naked mountain that is over 26,000 feets and dominates the entire region, also enjoy. the Gondola cable car system, and ascend towards the Afarwatt Mountain range. The 08 minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Afarwatt peak. From here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour or so and later do some horse-riding to the strawberry valley. In the evening drive back to Srinagar. Overnight stay at Srinagar.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 3 : Srinagar-Kargil (204 Km / 7 Hrs)

  After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Kargil, by visiting Sonmarg (Known as Meadow of Gold), Drass Village (2 coldest inhabitated place in the World enroute have a magnificent view of Kargil war Famous Peaks (Tiger, Tololing), reach Kargil by evening. Check in into hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Kargil.

• Day 4 : Kargil - Leh (214 Km / 7 Hrs 20 Min)

  After Early breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Leh on arrival at leh , Check in hotel. Rest of the day will be spent in complete rest to acclimatize you in this high altitude region. overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 5 : Leh

  After breakfast drive to visit the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries. These monasteries are were in between the period of 15th and 17th centuries, the monasteries are a living example of the Buddhist teachings .An interesting collection of murals, frescoes and statues can be seen inside the main temples. After visiting the monasteries we will drive to Stok Palace Museum. The Museum showcases the worthy royal artefacts and paraphernalia which include royal crowns, precious heirlooms, copper coins, prayer instruments and materials, precious stones and jewellers and also very old 16th century Thangkas, the Thangkas represents the life and teachings of Buddha. Later return to Leh. Overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 6 : Leh - Khardung La - Leh (78 Km / 2 Hrs)

  Morning after breakfast drive for Khardung la Pass, which is the World’s highest motorable road ranging at 18380 feet. Return to Leh. Afternoon will be at leisure, free for independent activities.
  Overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 7 : Leh- Pangong - Leh (150 Km / 4 Hrs)

  After early breakfast process for full day trip to Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. (third highest motorable road in the world) .The drive takes about 3-4 hours to reach. The lake is situated on the borders of India and Tibet. The lake is around 120 kms long and 50 kms in width. The lake is home to a large number of migratory and resident birds. Packed or hot lunch will be served. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the banks of Pangong while appreciating the changing colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Drive back to Leh by the same route. Overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 8 : Leh - Departure

  After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to airport to board flight.
