Day 1 : Arrival
Warm welcome and transfer to hotel. Day complete rest in the guest house/hotel.
Day 2 : Ladakh
Full day sightseeing at Leh covering Hemis, Shey and Thicksey Monastery. Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace. Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17Th century AD. Main attraction in Shey is the 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue inside the Dresthang Gompa. Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey is about 17 kms from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order. Hemis, about 45 kms south of Leh it is one of the most famous and largest monastery in Ladakh. It belongs to the Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17Th century. The setting is perfect with the monastery cradled in a lovely valley, surrounded by streams and fronted by long Mani walls. Overnight stay at the guest house.
Day 3 : Spituk
Leave Guest House after breakfast for Spituk 7km. Visit Gelugpa sect picturesque monastery built on hill top by Lama Od-lde in 11th century. After then drive to trekking point. After loading all luggages, start your first day trek with gentle trek upon vast open terrain. Follow the clear path and continue easy and gentle trek keeping Indus River on right. As you come across the valley on left, leave Indus behind and enter in the valley. Continue trek along the upstream small river as far as Zingchen (small village). Afternoon explore village and in the evening visit local house. Overnight at camp (3380m)
Day 4 : Rumbak village
Leave camp after breakfast; continue the journey on the path that leads away from the river. Climb gently till we reach Rumbak village. Pass Rumbak then continue gently ascend up through the barren lunar landscape of Ladakh. The weather is hot during the day and cold at night. Overnight at camp. (4100m)
Day 5 : Stokla pass
Post breakfast, continue trek with gradual ascent to Stokla pass. From the campsite walk up east and then on your right you find a path zigzagging up the mountain. At first it looks quite steep then later cross over the cleft to the left and heads up east at a less troubling gradient as far as top of the pass. From the top, enjoy and capture awesome and spectacular view of snow leopard kingdom on your right hand side, imposing Indus valley and enormous huge towering mountains of great Himalaya. Cross the pass, easy and gentle descend down as far as Mankarmo. Overnight at camp. (4700m)
Day 6 : Stokla pass
After early breakfast, continue trek with gradual ascent to reach at base camp. Arrive at campsite before Lunch. Post Lunch, take a short climb from base camp to better acclimatize. Climb a further 100 m and then come back down again to get an early night in preparation for tomorrow's summit attempt. Overnight at camp (Approx. 4900m)
Day 7 : Stokla pass
Early in the morning, start full of adventurous and challenging summit with gradual climbing to avail of the best weather conditions and a possible sunrise at the summit. First, climb onto a ridge which leads to a large glacier. After crossing the glacier, ascend steeply to the summit. This last leg is the most difficult and takes a lot of physical and mental strength. The panoramic view from the summit is second to none. To the north-west the Karakoram Range, including K2 (8611 m), seems endless. One can also see the Zanskar Range and view of Tibet in the distance, an outstanding vista of snow-capped peaks. Overnight at base camp.
Day 8 : Stok village

Day 9 : Stok village
Post breakfast; start easy and gentle trek descending down in the valley. Descend down all the way as far as Stok village. This is a great walk passing by numerous ruins of old forts and castles; spectacular and wonderful landscape with charming meadows; wonderful huge mountains. It takes about six hours to reach Stok village from where you drive to Leh via visiting Stok Palace. Overnight at hotel in Leh.
Day 10 : Departure
Depart for Delhi by the morning flight. For the more adventurous a drive to either Manali or Srinagar can also be arranged on request. The road journey is covered in two days with an overnight halt at either Sarchu, which lies on the Leh-Manali highway, or Kargil, which lies on the Leh-Srinagar highway. Trip ends here.
