Stok Kangri is one of the most popular trekking peaks in the Indian Himalayas and its proximity to Leh makes it easily accessible. The climb is technically not difficult, and requires no special mountaineering skills. It gives you a real opportunity to climb a 6150 m mountain in less than a week, which is not possible in any other part of the world. The summit presents one of the most spectacular views of the Saser peak in the Karakoram Range, where the K2 lies. Stok Kangri is considered to be a suitable 'starter expedition' for trekkers and Recommend for those wish to climb a non-technical 6000 m peak.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 :

  Arrival at Delhi International airport and full day Delhi sightseeing

• Day 2 :

  Arrival in Leh. Welcome at Airport and transfer to Hotel. Full day rest at Hotel for acclimatization.

• Day 3 :

  Leh. Full day acclimatization excursion to most famous monastery of central Leh Shey, Thiksay, Hemis and Spituk.

• Day 4 :

  Leh - Stok - Mankarmo (4-5 hrs treks)

• Day 5 :

  Mankarmo - Base camp (3-4 hrs trek)

• Day 6 :

  Base camp - summit 6150 m - base camp (10-11 hrs climbing)

• Day 7 :

  Base camp - Stok (4 hrs trek) - Leh (17 km / 1hr drive), remaining day for complete rest at the hotel/guest house.

• Day 8 :

  Hiking in adjoining village of Leh town, including visit Shanti Stupa, Samkar Gompa, Namgyal Tsemo peak overlooking whole Leh town and 17th century Leh palace. In the evening, visit colourful Leh bazaar (Sham bazaar) for a leisure walk and shopping.

• Day 9 :

  Transfer to Kushok Bakula Airport with assistance from Hotel/guesthouse, followed by an hour flight to Delhi and fly back to your home host country.
