Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Machame Gate to Machame Camp

  After breakfast, transfer to the Machame Gate (1,800m) for registration and formalities.
  Begin the trek through lush rainforest, ascending steadily towards Machame Camp (3,010m).
  Enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and settle into camp for the night.

• Day 2 : Machame Camp to Shira Camp

  Rise early and continue the ascent through the forest, eventually reaching the heather-moorland zone.
  Traverse rocky terrain and cross picturesque valleys en route to Shira Camp (3,840m).
  Marvel at the panoramic vistas of Mount Meru and the Shira Plateau before resting for the night.

  Today's trek takes you to higher altitudes as you ascend the Lava Tower (4,630m), offering stunning views of the surrounding glaciers.
  Descend to Barranco Camp (3,950m) through the scenic Barranco Valley, known for its unique flora and geological features.
  Spend the evening acclimatizing and enjoying the camaraderie of your fellow trekkers.

• Day 4 : Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

  Begin the day with a challenging climb up the Barranco Wall, a highlight of the Machame route.
  Traverse the Karanga Valley and ascend to Barafu Camp (4,600m), your base for the final push to the summit.
  Rest and prepare for the summit bid, mentally and physically, before an early bedtime.

• Day 5 : Summit Day - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

  Awake before midnight for a light meal before commencing the ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.
  Trek through the night, guided by headlamps and a blanket of stars, as you navigate steep switchbacks and rocky terrain.
  Reach the summit at sunrise and bask in the awe-inspiring views of the glaciers and surrounding plains.
  Descend to Barafu Camp for a brief rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for the night.

• Day 6 : Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate - Departure

  Conclude your Kilimanjaro adventure with a final descent through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,650m).
  Receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your guides and fellow trekkers.
  Transfer back to your hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved celebration and overnight stay.
