Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Pickup from Kolkata (07-08 AM) in an exclusive vehicle and drive to Godhkhali, a journey of about 3 Hours. We transfer guest from Godhkhali jetty by motor launch to the resort / hotel located in the Sundarbans Islands. This journey would take guest / tourist down the rivers Hogil, Gomar, Durgaduni and Gumdi in about an hour and a half. After lunch, set off on motor launch and view wildlife from the Sajnekhali watchtower and visit the Sajnekhali Museum and Mangrove Interpretation Centre. Night stay in Hotel / Resort at Sunderban(or)Boat Stay anchored in middle of the river.
• Day 2 : Sundarban Sightseeing

  After bed tea, you will be cruising through the deep creeks and covering the watchtowers of BurirDabri, Kumirmari as well as MorichJhapi. Breakfast on-board. Burirdabri in Sundarban national Park is famous for its watchtower, a mud-walk and mangrove cage trail leading to a viewpoint known as Raimongal View Point. A visit to the watch Tower at Burirdabri camp. The Kumirmari watchtower offers an exciting view of the jungles. Overlooking an untamed forest, enjoy the sights and sounds of nature resplendent in her pristine virginal beauty. Lunch will be served on-board. Guest can also take a stroll through the Kumirmari bazaar if one wants to have a first-hand view of a typical rustic Indian market place. Enjoy an absorbing evening watching Bono Bibir Pala (A folklore of Sundarban) or Live Baul performance (Folk Music). Nigh stay in Hotel / Resort at Sunderban (or) Boat Stay anchored in middle of the river.
• Day 3 : Sundarban Cruise

  After breakfast, a full day cruise through the rivers and narrow creeks of the Sundarban National Park and a lovely birding experience. Food would be prepared and served on the motor boat. Vvisit the various watch towers of NetiDhopani(Subject to weather and tide conditions permitting) as well as Do Banki. The canopy walk at Do Banki gives you an opportunity to view wildlife from a netted enclosure. Next on our itinerary would be the Spotted Deer Rehabilitation centre. Thereafter, enjoy the thrill of cruising deep in the forested area and also around the islands of the Sundarban Tiger Project area. Lunch will be served on-board. Let be guided by our guide to view the Mangrove forest from close quarters, deep inside the creeks and return in the evening. The Netidhopani Watchtower offers one a view of the ruins of a 400 year old Lord Shiva Temple. There is also a sweet water pond. Night stay in Hotel / Resort at Sunderban(or)Boat Stay anchored in middle of the river.
• Day 4 : Departure

  After breakfast, guest shall be taken on cruise with the vessel along the creeks and take a village tour at Chargheri Char, the southernmost village of West Bengal. Do not forget to carry your shorts as the inviting waters of the Sundarban entice you to wade through them and frolic on the Mudflats. One can spot Octopus, Star Fish, Jelly Fish, Horse shoe Crab, prawn seeds as well as many other variety of fishes etc. An interesting activity involves Country Boat ride (your cost)along the jungles. Guest can set off for a visit to a village and learn about the experiences of the villagers in the forest. Meet the fishermen, the Honey Collectors as well as the woodcutters and share their experiences of the Jungle. Next, visit the Sudhanyakhaliwatch tower (if time permits). Most of the Royal Bengal Tigers are sighted from this tower. Some other wildlife like axis deers, wild boars and crocodiles may also be seen from this watch tower. There is a sweet water pond where animals drink water. Behind the pond one can sight animals from a distance. After lunch at the hotel / resort or served on boat, we depart for Godhkhali to be transferred to Kolkata. Tour ends.
