This tour is about walking, trekking and cave exploring in Jungle and Maroon Villages Length 11 days (10 nights).

Suriname is a small Dutch speaking country on the Northern coast of South America, part of the Amazonian basin and geographically one of the southernmost members of the Caribbean Community.

With a total land area of 166,000 square kilometers and a population of approximately 492,829 inhabitants, settled for the largest part in the coastal areas, Suriname is one of the least densely populated countries in the world.
Due to its colonial history, during which plantation labor was first supplied by the Indigenous population, then slaves out of Africa and later by contracted workers from several Asian countries, Suriname has a unique multicultural and multi ethnical population enriching the country with their delectable variety of foods and colorful traditions.

Suriname is for the largest part covered with uninhabited and undisturbed Tropical Amazonian forest and other than a small amount of traditional Maroon or Indigenous villages located along the main Rivers of the country, the interior of Suriname is largely uninhabited. The country has therefore gained the attention of several large international conservation organizations and is currently one of the most important places anywhere for tropical forest conservation and an interesting new destination for sustainable and ecologically responsible nature tourism. The country is rich in natural resources such as oil, bauxite, gold, and lumber, but betting in the new "green gold" through nature tourism is showing an encouraging upward trend.
Protected Nature Reserves currently cover approximately 14% of the country.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Paramaribo - Brownsberg

  After breakfast, the guide will pick you up by bus/jeeb for a three hours drive to the Brownsberg nature park for one hammock overnight. Activities: Hiking and wildlife spotting.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

• Day 2 : Brownsberg - Witagron - Kwakoegron

  Today we will have a long distance journey by & bus or truck to the Maroon village called kwakoegron for one overnight in hammock.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

• Day 3 : Kwakoegron - New Jacobkondre

  After breakfast we will start the dugout canoe journey to new Jacobkondre
  Activity: meet the local people en overnight to prepare the dugout canoe journey the next day to Boslanti/Vertrouw.

• Day 4 : New Jacobkondre - Boslantie/Vertrouw

  After breakfast we will start the journey by dugout canoe the Maroon village Boslantie also known as Vertrouw by the local. Overnight Vertrouw in hammock with muskito nets.

• Day 5 : Vertrouw - Jungle Hiking

  Start, jungle hiking after 5 km hiking we will prepare to overnight.
  Together we will build the overnight camp.

• Day 6 : Hiking Day 2

  The second hiking day will start after we take the breakfast.
  Today we will make a km of five than starting to prepare the overnight
  Camp.

• Day 7 : Hiking Day 3

  After breakfast we will start to make 5 or 7 km to reach the foot of the Ebba Top Mountain where we will have owner 3th spectacular jungle overnight for the two nights.

• Day 8 : Typical Day, Hiking Day 4

  Climb the Ebba Top for a spectacular view over the Amazone forest.
  After the breakfast we will start the klimb journey to discover the Ebba Top. Overnight base camp foot Ebba Top.

• Day 9 : Departure to Vertrouw

  This day we will make the departure after breakfast back to the main Lodge in the village for one overnight.

• Day 10 : Relax Day

  After breakfast we will make a dugout canoe ride to the white Sandy beach called Latambo situated In the upper stream of the River for a whole day pick nick. Overnight Vertrouw. later on we have a local surprise to say as farwell for the group.

• Day 11 : Vertrouw - Poesoegroenoe - Paramaribo (flight)

  After breakfast we will make the departure to Poesoegroenoe for the flight to Paramaribo the capital city of Suriname. Overnight at your hotel/guest house.

• When the form is lacking you can only appeal to the tour operator. Legal person who/that for himself/itself or on behalf of a group of tourists, books the tour. The customer is responsible for the observing of all obligations that result from the tour agreement. The booking number that was given to the customer serves as a proof of the tour arrangement between the tour operator in conformity with the published tour program unless it was agreed otherwise en writing. At bookings for tours the customer should pay a deposit of 50% of the total sum for each tour. The total sum for the tour should be paid and USD 20 reservation cost per person not later than 7 days before the departure. The day of departure is not included here. The published sum for the tour in on the basis of more persons a hut/room.
