Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Marina Beach

  On arrival at Chennai’s Anna International airport, you’re taken to hotel for fresh-up and the rest of the day is at leisure to tour the city. After taking a stroll at the second largest beach in the world - Marina beach, you are driven to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. NIGHT STAY at Chennai.

• Day 2 : Kancheepuram: Darshan of Lord Kailasanathar, Lord Varadaraj & Lord Ekambareswarar

  After early breakfast you are driven to Kancheepuram for dharshan of Lord Kailasanathar at the temple built between 685-705AD by the Pallava Dynasty. After dharshan visit the temples of Lord Vardaraj Perumal and Lord Ekambareshwarar known for its magnificent tower (Gopuram) and structure. Drive to resort for dinner and overnight stay in Mamallapuram.

• Day 3 : Mamallapuram

  Mamallapuram was 7th century port city of the South Indian dynasty reigned by the Pallava. The Rathas (temples in the form of chariots), Mandapas (cave sanctuaries), Giant open air rock reliefs such as the famous Descent of the Ganges, and the Shore Temple, with thousands of sculptures to the glory of Lord Shiva will bring to life pages of history. The Group of Monuments at Mamallapuram has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Late evening could be spent taking a stroll at the beaches once adored by the kings and return to resort for dinner and overnight stay. NIGHT STAY AT Mamallapuram.

• Day 4 : THANJAVUR: Dam

  After breakfast you drive to Thanjavur en route visit Kallanai, known as the ‘Grand Anicut’ an ancient dam built across river Kaveri. The Dam was constructed by King Karikala Cholan, in 2nd century AD. It is the fourth-oldest water-regulatory structures in the world still in use. Reach Thanjavur for dinner and overnight stay. • Day 5 : Thanjavur: Brahadeswarar Temple

  After early breakfast you are driven to the UNESCO world heritage site – The Grand Brahadeshwarar Temple of 1010 AD. A guide would take you through the times of the Cholan glory and explain the arts and architecture of Tamil Nadu. After a 1 day tour you are driven to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Thanjavur.

  After early breakfast you are driven to ‘Gangai Konda Cholapuram’ –another UNESCO world heritage site built during medieval India and were erected as the capital of the Cholas by Rajendra Chola I. After lunch you are driven to Darasuram to witness Airavateswara Temple another UNESCO world heritage site constructed by Raja Raja Chola II and drive back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Thanjavur.

• Day 7 : Malayadipatti - Sittanavasal - Madurai Nayakar Mahal

  After breakfast drive to Malayadipatti to visit the cave temples dated to 804 AD built in 8th century by Pallava. Later drive to Sittanavasal caves of the 2nd Century Jains. Drive to Madurai for Sound and Light Show at Nayakar Mahal after which we proceed to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Madurai.

• Day 8 : Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple

  After an early breakfast take a stroll around the Meenakshi Amman Temple to relish the fragrance of native flowers from the temple and the aroma of authentic filter coffee. Later have dharshan of Lord Sundershwarar. The sprawling 17 acres of the mammoth Meenakshi Amman Temple is the architectural marvel that pinnacles mythology, 2500 years old. Later head to airport at Madurai/ Trichy to board flight to hometown or continue to yet another exciting cap tour of ours.
