Once served as a transit area for traders on the silk route, Nubra Valley, is now a must visit place for any trekker. Walking through breathtaking gorges and large meadows of the Nubra valley, our trek passes through Lasermo La (5400m), an eternally snow bound pass connecting Nubra and Indus valleys. Nubra, the name of the valley and the town as well, is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh nestling between the tall Saltoro and Karakoram ranges. Locally and originally, the valley is named as Ldumra that means the valley of flowers. The flat and eloquent Nubra Valley is being criss-crossed along the Khardung La(5400m) granting the winding channels of the Shayok and Nubra Rivers.
Day 1 : Delhi - Leh (3501m)

Day 2 : Leh (Full day monasteries & palaces tour) 112kms
After Breakfast Take a Full Day Excursion to Renowned Monasteries and Palaces of Ladakh Region. Founded in 1433 By Palden Sherab, Thiksey Monastery the Beautiful Village of Thiksey, Dominated By An Imposing Gelugpa Monastery. this Thiksey Monastery Majestically Overlooks the Valley, a Magnificent Group of About 80 Monks; Discovery of the Beautiful Inner Courtyard Which Distributes Access to the Various Temples. the Most Amazing is Certainly the Temple of Maitreya with Its Gigantic Interior Statue Which Covers all Floors of the Building. to Join the Next Site, We Will Take the Path of School Children.

on the Way Back to Leh Visit Shey (built in 17th Century By King Deldan Namgyal) Capital of Ancient Ladakh, is An Interesting Complex Whose Importance is Still Measured By the Quality of the Paintings and the Astonishing Quantity of Chortens or other Votive Monuments that Surround It, Especially the Copper Gilt Statue of Lord Buddha. the Rock-carved Statue of Five Buddha Can Be Seen Below the Palace On the Roadside, Which Was Probably Carved During the Reign of Singay Namgyal.

Day 3 : Leh-lower Indus Valley -lamayuru (3510m) 152kms
After Breakfast Drive to Lamayuru Enroute Visit Likir, also Known as Lu-khyil Gompa, the Likir Monastery Was Ordered to Build By the 5th King of Ladakh Lhachen Gyalpo and Was Thus Founded By Lama Duwang Chosje in 1065. the Monastery is of the Gelugpa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism, Visit Alchi Temple Renowned as the Oldest Buddhist Learning Centre, the Alchi Gompa is One of the Magnificently Built Monasteries in Ladakh. Located 70 Kilometres West of Leh On the Banks of the Indus River, It is also the Largest and Most Famous of the Gompas Built By Tibetan Translator Rinchen Zangpo in 11th Century, Continue Drive to Visit the Mesmerizing Moon Landscapes and the Lamayuru Monastery Renowned as Tharpa Ling Which Means the ‘place of Freedom’; Lamayuru Monastery is One of the Oldest Monasteries in Ladakh. Day 4 : Lamayuru-umla (3250m) 120kms.
After the Breakfast Drive to Umla, Via Visiting Rizong, According to Popular Belief, Guru Padmasambhava Along with other Lamas Used to Meditate in the Caves Around Rizong in Isolation, Surviving On Two Times Meal a Day and Avoiding Any Contact with the Outside World. Before Building the Monastery in 1831, Lama Tsultim Nima Started a Hermitage At the Site to Teach Monks About Buddhism, Visit a Nunnery, Known as Chulichan (chomoling), is Under the Cover of the Monastery, Where 20 Nuns or the Chomos Reside and Worship At the Temples of the Monastery, Perform Chores like Milking, Spinning Wool and Getting Oil for the Temple Lamps. Arrive At Umla At Evening . O/n Camp
Day 5 : Umla-Taru (3600m) 5-6hrs
Umla village from where we start our trek; we follow the trail that goes towards a small pass (4150m) from top of the pass we can have a beautiful view of the valley; then the trail goes a steep descent towards Taru village.O/N camp
Day 6 : Taru- Murubuk (3800m) 6-7hrs
Today after breakfast we start a gradual climb towards a pass; at times the trail will be steep at some sections. We reach to the top of the pass and enjoy the scenic view of Stok mountain range; then we follow the trail that descents towards the Phyang Monastery. After a steep descend we reach Phyang Monastery and visit the monastery; located on a hilltop just like Likir Monastery and belongs to the Dregung Order. The monastery also has a 900 year old museum which has a rich collection of Chinese, Tibetan and Mongolian artifacts. Afterwards we continue our walk towards the Murbuk. O/N camp
Day 7 : Murubuk-Pullu. (4800m) 5-6hrs
This morning after breakfast we start a gradual climb that leads us to a stream which we will be crossing and after crossing the river we enter to a gorge and climb for some 2hrs which will take us to the Pullu. O/N camp
Day 8 : Pull- Lasermo La Base (4800m) 5-6hrs
This day the trail goes a steep climb towards the pass of Lasermo La (5350m); early morning we start with a gradual climb as the trail goes over the boulders and later with a steep ascent to reach the top of the pass Lasermo La. From the top we will be blessed with a stunning view of Karakoram mountain range. We then descend towards the base of the pass where we camp for the night. O/N camp
Day 9 : Lasermo La Base- Hunder Dok (4100m) 5-6hrs
Today the trail is easy walk through meadows and sometimes over rocks; the trail is along the Hundar stream most of the time. On the way we pass through shepherd’s huts where the villagers of Hundar Dok stays with their livestock during summer where we can try Ladakhi buttersalt tea and some cheese. Then we continue walking towards our beautiful Hunder Dok. O/N camp
Day 10 : Hunder Dok- Hunder (3500m) 5hrs
This morning after breakfast we head towards the village of Hundar; the trail moves further into the impressive gorge after crossing one wooden bridge. It is a gentle descent towards Skarchan at the left side of a river. Path continues for about two hours through this gorge and finally opens at the Hunder Village with views on the Sand dunes from the distance. We reach to our campsite and our trek ends here and we say final goodbye to some of our staff. O/N camp
Day 11 : Hunder-Turtuk (3050m) 160kms
After breakfast drive to Turtuk, the last village on the road accessible by civilians. As you enter Turtuk, you will know what it means to be “frozen in time”. One of the gateways to Siachen Glacier, this village was captured by Indians Army in war of 1972 with Pakistan. Drive back to Hunder. O/N Camp
Day 12 : Sumur-Diskyid-Samstanling (3050m) 90kms
Today we explore Nubra Valley; we start with Hunder which is famous for its sand dunes and for (double-humped) Bactrian camels. Then we head to Diskyid monastery located on a hilltop, this is the oldest and largest monastery in Nubra valley and belongs to Gelugpa sect( founded in the 14th century by Changsem Sherab Zangpo) . Then we move towards Samstanling Monastery located in Sumur village, built in early 19th century by Lama Tsultim Nyima. The new assembly hall of the monastery holds elegant paintings and murals of Lord Buddha and his teachings, of Dharmachakra and other facets of Buddhism. O/N Camp
Day 13 : Hunder- Khardung La (5400m) –Leh (3501m) 135kms
Morning we have breakfast and drive towards Leh en-route we cross Kharzong La. The drive is quite interesting loaded with breathtaking views of snow-peak mountains range and it takes us to the world’s highest motor-able pass of Kharzong La (5400m); here we stop for some time and then continue our drive towards Leh.O/N hotel
Day 14 : Leh
Free day for personal activities. O/N hotel
Day 15 : Leh-Delhi
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Tour ends with sweets memories.
For the more adventurous a drive to either Manali or Srinagar can also be arranged on request. The road journey is covered in two or more days with an overnight halt at either Sarchu or Jispa, which lies on the Leh-Manali highway, or Kargil, which lies on the Leh-Srinagar highway.
