Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Bhubaneswar

On arrival at Bhubaneswar airport transfer to the hotel. If time permit half day sightseeing of tribal museum (closed on Monday), Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Day 2 : Bhubaneswar - Nuapatna - Sambalpur (300kms / 6 to 7hrs drive including sightseeing)

Morning drive to Sambalpur enroute visit Nuapatna which is famous for silk sarees . The weavers of this village use the TIE & DYE patterns which is popularly known as 'IKAT'. Then proceed to Sambalpur and check in to the hotel & Overnight.
Day 3 : Sambalpur - Barpali - Sambalpur (160km / 5hrs drive including sightseeing)

Excursion trip to Barapali (best silk and cotton weaver’s village) and Atabira to visit handloom and powerloom centers. Return back to Sambalpur. Overnight at Sambalpur.
Day 4 : Sambalpur - Sonapur - Balangir ( 170kms / 6 to 7hrs drive including sightseeing )

Morning drive to Bolangir enroute visit Sonapur. Here you will see the craftsmen specially doing the natural lying process, ingredients, traditional design with Script in fabric. Then proceed to Bolangir and check in to the hotel. Overnight at Bolangir.
Day 5 : Bolangir - Boudh - Dhenkanal (300kms / 8hrs drive including sightseeing )

Morning drive to Dhenkanal enroute visit few craftsmen like basket maker, leaf plate makers and also visit Typical Orissan Villages. On arrival at Dhenkanal check in to the hotel. Overnight at Dhenkanal Palace.
Day 6 : Dhenkanal - Sadeibarini - Bhubaneswar ( 125 kms / 4 to 5hrs drive including sightseeing )

After breakfast proceed to Bhubaneswar enroute visit Sadei Barini where Dokra casting (combining wax and brass elements in the same creations) is practiced. Later visit to the silver filigree work at Cuttack. Then proceed to Bhubaneswar. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Day 7 : Bhubaneswar

Morning after breakfast visit to famous city temples including Lingaraj, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar (know as the ‘gem of Orissan architecture’) & Rajarani temple. After lunch break visit to Nandankanan Zoo (closed on Monday) .This Zoo is famous for the white tiger safari and Botanical garden. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 8 : Departure from Bhubaneswar

After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfers to airport for onwards journey.
