Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival - Evening Boat Ride

  On arriving at Srinagar International Airport, head to the hotel/houseboat. In the evening, enjoy a shikara ride on the magnificent Dal Lake and witness the colourful aura created from the floating vegetable markets. While riding the shikara, have fun watching the beautiful birds flying nearby. You can spot a variety of species like Kingfisher, Little Bittern and Grebe. After this, head for a scrumptious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in the houseboat.

  In the morning, get ready to explore the beauty of Gulmarg (60 Km/2 hours). It is popularly known as the 'Meadow of Flowers'. If weather permits, you can view Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world at a height of 26,660 feet above sea level. You can also enjoy cable car (Gondola) ride up to Khilanmarg.   After a tasty breakfast, enjoy a picturesque drive to Pahalgam (also known as valley of shepherds). The total distance of roughly 139 kilometres will be covered in 3 hours. On the way, enjoy the scenic view of the beautiful countryside and visit the saffron fields of Pampore and Awantipora Ruins. Enjoy the drive through the lush green pine forests as you arrive at Pahalgam and listen to the sounds of the Lidder stream. Later, stroll along pony trails and enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains. After this, drive back to Srinagar and relax during your overnight stay in the houseboat.

• Day 4 : Srinagar - Kargil

  Srinagar - Kargil (204 Km / 4.5 hours)
  On this day, leave Srinagar and proceed to Kargil via the Srinagar-Leh highway. Halt at Sonamarg for some time (known as the 'Meadow of Gold') to admire the fascinating surroundings. You can enjoy a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier. Notice the gradual change in colours of the mountains as you journey towards Kargil. Cross Zoji La Pass and Dras region (famous as the 'Gateway to Ladakh'). En route, visit Zojila War Memorial and Kargil War Memorial to pay a tribute to the martyrs of the Kargil war. You can capture some interesting pictures of Tololing, Tiger Hill and the war memorial in Dras. Relax during your overnight stay in Kargil.
• Day 5 : Kargil - Leh

  After an early breakfast, journey to Leh. You will reach Leh in the evening. Enjoy a tasty dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in Leh.
• Day 6 : Visit to the Monasteries
