This 8-day, 7 overnights journey dives bravely into the stunning, for many travelers yet undiscovered magical worlds of the Balkans. Veiled in layers of history, this area of the world carries untouched natural beauty. From Medieval city walls of Old Town Dubrovnik, it’s white stone shimmering in reflections of the turquoise Adriatic Sea, to lively, colorful streets of Tirana, this journey takes travelers through four different yet similar countries. Travelers get to immerse into Dubrovnik Riviera’s local traditions like silk yarn production in Konavle and learn about oyster production in Mali Ston and enjoy tranquil evening stroll through Cavtat and plunge into local delicacies during a dinner hosted in a small village. The tour continues south to Montenegro, where seamlessly endless folds of the bay hide the ancient beauty, town of Perast and the UNESCO site Kotor. Even more south, Tirana, capital of Albania, welcomes with buzzing boulevards and trendy Blloku. Stunning Ohrid Lake instills one with stillness as much as Ohrid town, one of the oldest human settlements in Europe, instills with wonder. Colorful peacocks stand guard around St. Naum Monastery on the chore of Ohrid Lake. Travelers will visit Skadar, surrounded by dramatic karst mountains, and Budva in the Kotor Bay, before circling back to Croatia.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Dubrovnik

  Arrival to Dubrovnik. Welcome to Croatia!
• Day 2 : Dubrovnik

  Get to know the historic Dubrovnik on a guided tour of the Old Town, a UNESCO site, before venturing out to explore the regional highlights; Konavle region where travelers will learn about traditional yarn production and Mali Ston bay with its delicious shellfish and oysters. The first full day on the journey will end the day with a dinner on a local farm in Konavle.
• Day 3 : Kotor, Perast, Islet Our Lady of the Rocks

  Journey continues south to Montenegro with visits to coastal towns of Kotor and Peras and a boat ride to islet Our Lady of the Rocks in the breathtaking Kotor Bay. A drive through beautiful landscapes to end the day with arrival to Tirana, capital city of Albania.
• Day 4 : Tirana, Kruje

  This day is dedicated to exploring beautiful Tirana, the heart of Albanian culture and traditions. Optional excursions to town of Kruje, including the Skanderbeg museum, located in the environs of the Kruje castle, and the national ethnographic museum.
• Day 5 : Ohrid

  Today we arrive to Macedonia. Ohrid Lake hides mysterious old monasteries, which we will explore as well as town of Ohrid with all of its architectural treasures.
• Day 6 : Skadar, Rozaf Castle

  We return to Albania to explore Skadar, a town that stands to show ancient days of the region, along the imposing Rozaf castle, rising above two rivers on a steep hill.
• Day 7 : Cavtat

  Drive back to Cavtat in Croatia will feature breathtaking scenery and landscapes. Optional excursions to Dubrovnik and Konavle. Travelers will recount journey memories and say our goodbyes during a dinner hosted in one of local villages.
