The capital of modern India has behind it centuries of history, which has enriched its culture. Nowhere has tradition blended with modernity on a scale as evident in New Delhi. • Day 3 : Delhi – Agra (210 km, 4-5 hrs)

Today morning you will be driven to Agra. Arrive Agra and check-in at hotel.

Agra Just over 210 kms. from Delhi, is Agra, the city of Taj Mahal a poem in white marble built in the 16th century by the emperor Shahjahan as a monument of love. Agra was once the capital of the Mughals and the relics of the glory are scattered all over the city. From the Taj Mahal to the massive Agra Fort, the delicately carved Itmad-ud-Daulah’s tomb, Akbar’s deserted majestic capital Fatehpur Sikri, Agra is India’s best-known tourist destination .

Arrive Agra and transfer to hotel.

Afternoon you will proceed to visit the Agra Fort – the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions.

You will then visit the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more … Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in mid 17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world. Though the Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is really astounding. You will have ample time to view and be mesmerised by this outstanding piece of architecture in the light of setting sun and to later assemble with the whole group for a photograph with the Taj as a backdrop

    Overnight stay at Hotel.

  • Day 4 : Agra –Ranthambore (275 km, 5-6 hrs)

In the morning following breakfast you will be driven to Fatehpur Sikri enroute to Ranthambore, the deserted capital of the former Mughal Emperor Akbar. It was built as his capital but abandoned only 15 years later, supposedly due to shortage of water. In many ways it is one of the most impressive and romantic legacies of the Mughal dynasty. Within the walls you will see some interesting buildings, which remain in excellent condition 400 years later.
Ranthambore: Ranthambore National Park is a fascinating blend of history and nature. Inside the park is a formidable fort that was built in the 10th century and coveted by many rulers due to its strategic position between north and central India. The park itself is situated at the joining of the Vindhya Plateau and the Aravalli Hills, and is characterized by rocky plains and steep cliffs. It supports a diverse range of flora and fauna.Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once, the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The desire to preserve the game in these forests for sport, was responsible for their conservation, and subsequent rescue by Project Tiger.
The Park sprawls over an estimated area of 400 sq kms. Steep crags embrace a network of lakes and rivers, and a top one of these hills, is the impressive Ranthambore Fort, built in the 10th century. The terrain fluctuates between impregnable forests and open bushland.

  • Day 5 : Ranthambore - Jaipur (175 kms, 4 hrs)

Today early morning enjoy Jungle Safari of Ranthambore National Park. Later in the morning following breakfast
you will be driven to to Jaipur

Jaipur About 240 kms west of Agra lies the pink city of Jaipur. Capital of the state of Rajasthan, the city is known for its forts and palaces and tales of Rajput Chivalry. The extensive use of pink shade started as a special show of warmth to the British Royalty in the early part of the century has given a distinctive touch to the city. The frieze, the intricately carved marble screens marble screens and quaint edifices like the Hawa Mahal lend a charm to Jaipur all its own. Jaipur’s crowded bazaars are famous for tie and dye garments and gems and jewellery.

On arrival in Jaipur check-in at your hotel and rest of the afternoon will be at leisure.

In the evening experience the rich warmth and ethnic charm of a typical Rajasthani Village in Choki Dhani. Sample a typical Rajasthani Meal.

    Overnight stay at Hotel.

  • Day 6 : Jaipur

This morning you will be driven to the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort. Maharaja Mansingh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General, started the construction of Amber Fort in the 17th century. Before the City Palace was constructed in Jaipur, Amber was the seat of power. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the Moat Lake. Ruins and remains are spread over the Aravalli hills and sprawling crenellated walls lattice the surrounding area. An elephant will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress. Once on top you will have the opportunity to stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Many of the rooms have delightful wall paintings, with precious stones and mirrors inlaid in the walls. Most fascinating, perhaps, is the Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) where a single lamplight is reflected in the many mirrors, lighting up the room.

Afternoon, you will visit the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armoury, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings.

Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in 1726 and is one of the five such astronomical wonders built by Sawai Jai Singh and makes accurate predictions even to this day. Lastly visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) is a landmark of Jaipur and stands 5 stories high. The cool winds blows through its facade of windows and latticed screens through which the queens of the court once viewed the streets of the city.

    Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 7 : Jaipur - Delhi (260 Kms / 5 hrs.)

After breakfast you will be driven back to Delhi International airport to connect flight for further destination.
