Day 1 : Arrival in Berlin
Start your day at a quaint stay at a hotel near City Center. Spend some day at leisure in the heart of Germany.
Day 2 : Berlin - Potsdam Tour
Head out for a Explore the heart of Berlin. It is easy to see why the palaces & parks of Potsdam were designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1990. Not only is the city incredibly picturesque, with its many palaces, lakes, manicured gardens, statues & water fountains dotted over hundreds of green acres, but it is brimming with an equally fascinating history. Stroll around the Dutch Quarter, an ensemble of red-brick buildings that is unique in Europe. The infamous 'Soldier King', Frederick William I, (renowned for the giant men he collected for his showcase military regiments), had the houses built in the middle of the 18th century to accommodate Potsdam's new community of Dutch artisans. See the stunning Sanssouci Palace, favorite residence of Frederick the Great, which is set in beautiful parkl & scattered with temples, churches & follies We visit Cecilienhof, the manorial residence of Germany's last Kaiser, which was used to host the Potsdam Conference in 1945. We describe the discussions that took place between Churchill, Truman & Stalin, which were to seal the fate of Cold War Europe for the next half century. You will also see the forbidden town used by the Soviet Secret Service until 1994, the KGB jail, the Glienicke Bridge used for spy swaps with the CIA, & much more. Did we mention the break in a fantastic local beer garden for a light lunch & a glass of the local brew?
Day 3 : Berlin - Prague
Head out and board a train to visit the beautiful city of Prague. Prague Venice is an exclusive canal sightseeing boat trip! You will be riding in lovely typical canal boats through the most charming places in Prague, scattered along the Vltava River. You will be touring the river in boats that are made especially for small groups where you will receive personal attention & a truly informative & interesting narration of the Vltava & Prague.
Day 4 : Prague - Cruise On The River Vltava
Prague will amaze you & we guarantee one of the best experiences. Our minibus will take you to the River Vltava from where you will continue by an air conditioned boat. Let yourself be carried away by a splendid view of the heart of Prague with panorama of Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, the Charles Bridge, the National Theatre, the Petrin Hill & the green cupola of the St. Nicolas Church. All sights will be explained on board by our guide. The cruise itself lasts one hour. Guide service & boat ticket are included. Coffee & cake included.
Day 5 : Prague - Vienna
Go on a four hour long train ride to Vienna. Start your walking tour The beauty of Vienna is that many of its main attractions are located within the Old Town & thus easy to explore by foot with this morning walking tour. See the main sights & attractions, & learn all about the city’s dramatic history from its humble beginnings during the Roman Empire to its zenith as the capital of the multinational Habsburg Empire.
Day 6 : Vienna - City Tour And Schonbrunn Palace
This city tour will introduce you to the the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art & Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall & the University. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends.
Day 7 : Vienna - Budapest
Take an early morning train ride to the city of Budapest and stay in the Pest Bank of Danube. Head out to City Tour. On this tour you will be passing by the Parliament building before crossing the Danube on the Margaret Bridge & drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side of the city. Here you will have some free time to yourself to visit the Fishermen's Bastion which offers stunning views over the city & the Mathias Church. Your tour will continue to the Gillert Hill before crossing the Elisabeth Bridge from where you will drive towards the Heroes' Square. Passing by the Opera & St Stephen's Basilica you reach the Hotel Intercontinental where your tour ends.
Day 8 : Budapest - Budapest Night Stroll And Boat Cruise
'Paris of the East' is one of the most famous sentences used when describing Budapest at night. The magnificent buildings & sights all glowing & illuminated at night just give this city a totally different feeling than you experience during the day. The Night Stroll is designed to take you along the path where you will see the best parts of the city by night for some of the most terrific photos. You will not only learn about these gr&iose sight but hear stories surrounding them such as: Who is the first Hungarian vampires? What did she do? Was Attila the Hun really a Hungarian? Who was he & how did he die? Where did Hungarians really come from? What is the myth behind our ancestors? All these & more compelling facts & questions will be answered during this tour. The tour ends by taking one hour cruise with one drink of your choice!
Day 9 : Departure
Make your way back home with a lot of happiness and memories.
