This trip is all about the Egyptians’ love for all things beautiful. How they built giant pyramids and filled them with treasures to take with them to the netherworld. The Nile River Cruise takes us on a journey covering all the great monuments in Egypt. Luxor’s hieroglyph-lined Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings tombs, Cairo’s Ottoman landmarks like Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Egyptian Museum, the overall journey of the must-see’s at Egypt.
Day 1 : Cairo
Meet and greet with our representative will be followed by them assisting you through the immigration process.
Day 2 : Pyramids, Sphinx, Khan El Khalili
After an early breakfast, set off to visit one of the Seven Wonders - Great Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus.
A single pyramid is built with 2.300.000 blocks, each weighing an average of two and a half tones. If reading this is awe inspiring, imagine those who have visited here! Great Sphinx of Giza is the next stop. It’s an unforgettable statue combining the head of a Pharaoh with a lion's body, made with natural yellowish limestone and standing 65 feet-high and 187 feet-long, this. It’s an established fact that every monument in Egypt is “incredibly larger than life”.
A quick visit to papyrus institute or a perfume shop can make your day extra special, but complete the very eventful day with a visit to the Egyptian Museum and the Khan El Khalili Bazaars.
And that’s a wrap for the day!
Interesting Fact:
Head to Cheops Pyramid as its interior burial chambers are open to all. So naturally more interesting. The museum is where you get to see Tutankhamen treasures and the mummies.
Day 3 : Aswan - Nile
Early start with a breakfast box in tow takes you the Cairo airport for a 70 minutes’ flight to Aswan – the southern gate of Egypt. Just so you know, Aswan has some of the world's best-known winter resorts. Then visit the Old Dam and the High Dam, which provide irrigation and electricity to the whole Egypt.
The day only gets better with a motor boat ride to the beautiful Temple of Philae on Isis Island and checking in at the Nile Cruise.
Complete the day with a relaxing tour by a felucca to sail in around the Elephantine & Botanical Islands viewing the Agha Khan mausoleum.
Day 4 : Abu Simbel - Nile Cruise – Edfu
Wake up early next morning and set out with the breakfast box for an excursion by coach to the great Temples of Abu Simbel, flanked by four giant stone statues of Ramses II. It's a great thing to see early in the morning before the crowds come in! The Temple was reclaimed from the dam to rescue from the rising water of Lake Nasser and reconstructed in its present site.
The set sail to Kom Embo to visit the Ptolemaic Temple. It's a beautiful temple shared by Two Gods, Sobek and Heroeris. Its a visual treat worthy of the Egyptian Gods! Sail to Edfu and spend the night on board.
Day 5 : Edfu – Esna - Luxor
Today is the day you see the Temple of Horus, this temple can be visited on a Kalesh or horse drawn carriage. Then take off to the Nile Cruise and sail to Esna and Luxor.
On arrival at Luxor, visit Karnak temple.
Day 6 : Luxor - Cairo
After an early breakfast & check out, visit the west bank in Luxor where the the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple & colossi of Memnon can be found.
Continue from Luxor to Cairo.
Day 7 : Adios Cairo!
After the chase of Immortality in Egypt, it's time to bid adieu to the Egyptian Gods, and head back home.
