Day 1 : Warsaw
When you arrive, our driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel in the city center. The afternoon is at your disposal. At 6pm you will start discovering Warsaw – your guide and the rest of the group will be waiting in the hotel’s hallway. The Royal Route and its buildings with historical value will be the first thing to explore. With paying attention to details, it was amazingly renovated. You will get to the Castle Square where you will have a walk around the Old Town. Then, a welcome dinner consisting of traditional Polish meals and Polish vodka “Zubrowka” will be served for you.
Day 2 : Warsaw
In the morning you will admire more of Warsaw. During a half-day tour we will show you the Old Town, which, completely destroyed in the World War II, was wonderfully reconstructed. The magnificent Royal Castle, Polish kings’ seat, and the place of proclamation of the second constitution in the world – the Constitution of May 3rd will undoubtedly impress you. You will see 300 rooms including the Canaletto Room where there are 23 of his paintings, the Throne Room, 6 paintings of Marcello Bacciarelli in the King’s Hall, 22 portraits of kings of Poland in the Marble room and splendid Ballroom. Then you will have lunch in a regional restaurant at the Old Town and the tour will be continued starting from the place where the former Warsaw Ghetto was located. On your way there you will see The National Opera House and the Town Hall.
Day 3 : Warsaw - Czestochowa - Zakopane
In the morning you will have breakfast, after which you head to Zakopane – a beautifully located holiday resort just at the Tatra Mountains. On your way you will have a stop in Czestochowa where you will admire the miraculous Black Madonna Shrine in the Jasna Gora Monastery. A regional restaurant in Czestochowa will be a place where you will have lunch. You will spend the evening in a city between Gubalowka and Giewont – Zakopane. Its charming location is a guarantee of unforgettable views. Earlier a little village hidden in the mountains, at the beginning of the 20th century – a trendy artist’s shelter.
Day 4 : Zakopane - Krakow
The Zakopane tour will be your morning activity. Wooden architecture and breathtaking landscapes are the perfect combination which copied in other parts of Poland is named Zakopianski Style. The Jaszczurowka Chapel is an example of Zakopane’s wooden architecture which you will see with your own eyes together with the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima at Krzeptówki – constructed by locals after the attempt on the Pope’s life. Let the amazing views from the Gubalowka Mountain entrance you. Discover local shops with souvenirs of arts and craft of Highlanders (Gorale). Then you will have time to arrange lunch by yourself and also some time at your disposal. Dunajec River is the place where you will participate in an exciting rafting trip. After you will be back in the Old Town in Krakow and have dinner at a regional restaurant.
Day 5 : Krakow - Auschwitz - Krakow
The tour in the morning will include Wawel, the Royal Castle, seat of three Polish monarch dynasties. There you will have a chance to see valuable art, treasured furniture from the past and unique objects. Monumental tapestries from the 16th century are incomparable. Then you will see the place of the cult of the Queen of Poland – St. Jadwiga and St. Stanislaw. There you will admire 18 chapels which are true perfection. Zygmunt – a giant bell is ranked as one of the biggest in the world! Also Polish monarchs were crowned and buried there. The renovated Main Square at the Old Town is your next stop. The wooden altar – a masterpiece made by Wit Stwosz located in the St. Mary’s Basilica will truly impress you. The central part of the square is taken by the Cloth Hall which was built before 1349 and renovated in the 16th century. Lunch will be provided and then you will head to the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau where you will visit the Martyrdom Museum.
Day 6 : Krakow - Wieliczka - Krakow
Morning hours are at your disposal. Krakow’s famous cafeteria is the place where we will invite you to have a coffee and delicious cake. In the afternoon you will drive to the Wieliczka Salt Mine – a fantastic underground beauty where you will see chapels, grottoes and chambers – all carved from salt! Then you will experience a traditional Polish folkloric show together with a tasty dinner. After you will be back in Krakow.
Day 7 : Krakow - Lowicz - Torun
You will have breakfast and then you go to Torun. You will have a stop in a Mazovian town called Lowicz which is known for folk art: multicoloured clothes and exceptional cut-outs made of paper. There a local family will host you for a lunch. The location of their beautiful cottage will charm you! It is located just at the foot of the former Lowicz Castle. You will experience Polish hospitality by being welcomed with bread & salt. A young married couple will serve you a delicious dish. There will be time to talk about their everyday life and then their lovely garden will be a place to have a dessert. After this you will have free time in Torun.
Day 8 : Torun - Gdansk
The morning will be devoted to explore Torun – the city of Nicolaus Copernicus, one of the most impressive Polish cities with a historic value. The Town Hall from the 13th century located in the Old Town is the reason of placing Torun’s Old Town on the UNESCO’s list. You will visit the Copernicus Museum and then we will provide you with lunch at Torun’s regional restaurant. You will head to Gdansk in the afternoon. There you will have a short walk in the Old Town.
Day 9 : Gdansk - Malbork - Gdansk
This day is devoted to explore Gdansk in more detailed way. First you will see the Upland Gate which used to be a fortification of Gdansk and also one of the main city’s gates. Then you will pass by the Prison Tower and the Torture House which form a baked-brick structure. It is a remain of the Gothic defense walls from the 15th century. Close to the Prison Tower, you can find the Golden Gate which is a beginning of the Long Market consisting of charming streets on which great mansions with facades from Renaissance and Baroque are located. Here the richest Gdansk’s burghers used to live. A real feast for the eyes! Your next point is the Main Square and the Artus Court where the Hanseatic League had their meetings. The St. Mary’s Basilica standing behind it is a part of Gdansk’s biggest red-brick churches from Gothic. When coming back, you will admire Mariacka Street where you will see stylish boutiques and gabled terraced houses. Malbork is the next city you will visit. There you will have lunch and visit the Teutonic Knights Castle – Europe’s biggest brick building and one of the main attractions for tourists. Then you will be back in Gdansk and have time at your disposal, so that you can shop for Baltic arts and crafts like jewelry or trinkets made of amber.
Day 10 : Gdansk - Gdynia - Sopot - Oliwa – Warsaw
You will eat breakfast after which you will go to the youngest city of tri-city complex – Gdynia. Also, you will pay a visit to in-fashion Sopot which is a popular holiday resort located just at the sea. There you will have a chance to walk on Europe’s longest wooden pier. Then a pipe-organ concert will be provided at the notable Oliwa Cathedral. After this, you will drive back to Warsaw where you will have a good-bye dinner served at a local restaurant.
Day 11 : Warsaw
In the morning you will have breakfast and then you will be transferred to the airport.
