It's best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city's Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake's snake boat races are a well-known annual event.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Pick up from KOTTAYAM Railway Station and drop at Thekkady hotel.

  On arrival at Kottayam Railway Station, An Azure Tour Advisor representative meet and geet you and drive for Thekkady. on arrival check into Hotel. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978 is one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves stretching to a total of 777sq km of which 360 km is thick ever green forest.. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady. Stay overnight.

• Day 2 : Thekkady Sightseeing

  After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Boating at the Periyar lake is an activity much sought by tourists who visit Thekkady because wild animals can be spotted during the session. Jeep safari is a fun optional activity to enjoy if you have an adventurous bone. Visit the Spice Plantation in Thekkady, stroll around the captivating farm and discover various spices in different sections of the plantation. Most sought Elephant Ride around the wilderness. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady. Sightseeing options are just for information.

• Day 3 : Thekkady to Alleppey houseboat transfer

  After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats. Check in time is 01:00 PM and cruise starts with lunch. While cruising, let your eyes settle for the bowed-down paddy fields, local inhabitants, rustic homes, ancient churches / temples and swaying coconut groves. Food will be served onboard. Overnight stay in the houseboat.

• Day 4 : Check out from Houseboat and drop at Cochin Railway Station.

  After breakfast, check out from the Houseboat and drive back to your Cochin Railway Station for further journey.
