Day 1 : Rashtrapati Bhavan and National Gallery of Modern Art
Begin your Delhi Tour by traversing the historical sites of the Rajpath .Begin with the Fortress of Lutyens' Delhi, the Rashtrapati Bhavan which is spread over 330 acres, the construction was designed by famous architect Lutyens during the British rule. It is now the official residence of the First Citizen of India - the President. Later proceed towards the Parliament House which is the home to the highest law-making body in India and is at a walking distance. With the special permission you can move inside the building .Move on to visit the National Museum which is the largest Museum in India . You can either go by walking or you could take an auto to reach the Musuem. Later visit the National Gallery of Modern Art which is located at Jaipur House. You can go by walking through Rajpath via India Gate or you may take an auto. You can see India Gate by standing in front of National Art Gallery which serves as a memorial in honour of both the Indian as well as the British Soldiers who were martyred during World War I Take a rest before moving on to Connaught Place which is place for speciality and multi cuisine restaurants for a hearty meal You can use local bus, auto/taxi. Towards evening visit Chandni Chowck which is about 5kms. The best way to traverse this area is on a cycle-rickshaw or on foot. To begin with Jama Masjid which is one of the largest mosques in India. Then proceed to the Digambar Jain Temple. Later visit the Central Baptist Church , Gurdwara Sisanj, Fatehpur Mosque, Sunehri Masjid , Gauri Shankar Temple, Bhagirath Palace, Ghalib’s Haweli and Chunnamal ki Haweli.
Day 2 : Mehrauli Archaeological Park and Visit Garden of Five Senses
Visit Mehrauli Archaeological Park which is the only Archaeological Park that is spread over 200 acres and houses almost 100 hsitorical monuments which was built over five centuries .Later you can go for shopping by walking or you can buy stuffs that are branded or else you could go collecting mementos or souvenirs from the Emporia Complex or the Central Cottage Emporium at Baba Kharak Singh Marg or the Ambavata Complex, If you wish to buy cheaper stuffs you could just visit Janpath and shop the desired items You can also view the Quli Khan’s tomb, Gandhak ki Baoli, Madhani Masjid, Balbon’s tomb, Jamali Kamali mosque - all within walking distance of each other. Thereafter you can visit the adjacent complex to have the sight seeing of Qutub Minar, th Alai Gate, The Iron Pillar Towards evening Visit Garden of Five Senses which is sketched to trigger one's sensory responses to the environment. This is a unique garden which is situated near the Qutub Heritage Zone that covers an area of 20.5 acres with 14 food stalls, 16 craft stalls and nature in abundance.
Day 3 : Lotus Temple
After breakfast in the morning proceed to visit the Lotus Temple that is an another landmark in Delhi City. You can take a local bus,auto/taxi to reach Lotus Temple This Temple resembles a half-open lotus that is relatively a recent architectural wonder of the Bahai faith. Later visit Humayun's Tomb one of the most impressive Mughal construction You can either take a local bus or auto/taxi.The distance is approximate 7kms. Nizamuddin Dargah is about 2 kms north to Humayan Tomb and this Dargah belongs to the famous Sufi saint, Nizamuddin Auliya. The next stop is at the Lodi Gardens . It is an extensive well-trimmed garden where you can see tombs and structures belonging to the Lodi and Sayyed ancestry Evening proceed towards Safdarjung's Tomb either by Taxi or auto or by Bus . Safdarjung Tomb is spread over an area of 300 sq km, This picturesque tomb is enclosed within a garden with fountains and tanks . Overnight proceed to Hotel and relax.
