Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Hello Colombo! (Colombo – vibrant city)

On your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, a Yatra representative will be available to take care of immediate needs, if any and ensure your smooth transfer to the hotel.
  Colombo, the country’s commercial capital, has a beautiful skyline is a beautiful blend of colonial architecture and gorgeously designed Christian, Hindu, Buddhist and Islamic places of worship. Begin your trip with a visit to the renowned Galle Face Green, a splendid urban park by the ocean side amidst the financial center of the city. Next, take a lesson or two about the Lankan culture and history and get some insight into the lives of the people at the National Museum. Next head to the Fort District and take a pit stop at the Independence Square and the Old Parliament Building.

  On your way to the city, stop by the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and spend quality time with the gentle giants feeding and bathing them. You can spend the later part of the afternoon taking a stroll with these once abandoned animals take mud baths and have a gala time in their natural habitat.
  Thereafter, head to Kandy and on your arrival, check into your hotel and rest before you proceed for dinner. End the day with a delectable local dinner at a restaurant and get some rest for the night. Overnight stay at Kandy.

  Begin the day’s sightseeing with a visit to the renowned Temple of The Tooth Relic, which is known to be home of Lord Buddha’s tooth relic.
