"1000 kilometers drive on the Friendship Highway that joins two heavens on Earth- Nepal and Tibet, explores Tibetan towns, caters the beauty of Tibetan landscapes and enters the most beautiful plateau on earth- Lhasa for its through exploration- Tibet Overland Tour"
Overland tours in Tibet offer some of the most exciting sightseeing experiences of Himalaya and high-altitude valleys. Tibet, still largely unexplored, makes a perfect destination for adventure seekers and holidayers. The ancient monasteries scattered in the region, prayer flags flying across the alleys, pilgrims making miles of journey on foot, the complete remoteness and isolation, gives an awed expression to the travelers.
The fascinating history of Tibet; exile of Dalai Lama, the Chinese Occupation and first-hand encounter by Heinrich Harrer, gives an impression of exploring an unknown territory and crossing unexplained boundaries. Lhasa, “The Forbidden City,” long kept discreet and away from foreign intrusion is one of the greatest attraction of Tibet. It is also a spiritual and cultural hub of the region.
Mt. Kailash, situated in the western region of Tibet, is another major attraction. The mountain of Kailash is considered Holy by Hindus and Buddhist alike. Pilgrims from various parts of Indian subcontinet make miles of journey to Kailash.
