Everest Base Camp North/ Tibet side, generally referred to as the Advanced Base Camp (ABC) is located at an elevation of 6,340 meters. The trip to Everest Base Camp starts in Lhasa, where you will spend two days exploring Lhasa. Spending three nights in Lhasa will allow you to acclimate to high altitude. Similarly, you will also make your stop to Gyangtse, Xigatse, Shegar, Sakya Monastery, and Rongbuk Monastery. These landmarks highlight the uniqueness of rich Tibetan culture and history. While you are in Tibetan territory, you can also get information about Tibetan leader Dalai Lama, who has done much for the development of country and protection of culture and tradition of Buddhism. Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Lhasa (3650 m)

    Upon your arrival in Lhasa, our representative will pick you at Lhasa Airport. If you choose to fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa, you will be lucky enough to witness the spectacular sights of Mt. Everest (8848 m), Kanchenjunga (8536 m) and other Himalayan peaks. The flight also provides you with mesmerizing views of the highest glaciers in the Himalayan region. You will then be taken to hotel which is on the bank of river Kyichu. Once the check-in procedure is completed, rest at the hotel room. It is recommended to take a plenty of rest for the remaining day to minimize altitude sickness. Overnight in Lhasa.

  • Day 2 : Lhasa Exploration- Potala Palace and Norbulingka Palace

    After an early morning breakfast, we will proceed for sightseeing in Lhasa. We will first go to explore the grandeur of Potala Palace. Potala Palace, built in 17th century is the residence of Dalai Lama. The palace provides amazing views of the entire city with the spiritual aura. It is considered to be one of the grandest palace built till date. We, then go to visit Norbulingka (Treasure Park) - the summer palace of Dalai Lama. It is the biggest human built park in Tibet. After spending some quality time in the park, we will return back to the hotel. Overnight in hotel.

  • Day 3 : Lhasa Exploration- Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Market

    Mostly, today's tour will be a spiritual tour as we will be exploring different historic and grand monasteries in Lhasa including Sera Monastery and Jokhang Temple. Sera Monastery which lies in the north of Lhasa is a preserved monastery of white-washed walls and golden roofs. The monastery was once the residence of more than 5,000 monks. We then go to visit another historically important monastery, Jokhang Temple. Jokhang Temple was built during Songtsen Gonpo's reign by princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty, 647 AD. A golden statue of Shakyamuni Buddha can be seen in this monastery. We will further walk through Barkhor Market to experience the local social life. It is a traditional old street in Lhasa packed with open air stalls, shops and number of pilgrims. Return back to the hotel and relax after sightseeing. Overnight in hotel.

  • Day 4 : Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (3950 m) | Driving Duration: 7-8 hours

    After an early morning breakfast, we embark on a pleasing drive to Gyantse. It is 261 kilometers away from Lhasa. We drive past the Kora La (5010 m) and Kamba La (4794 m), enjoying the amazing views of the majestic glaciers. We come across the breathtaking view of Lake Yamadroke. It is one of the holy lakes in Tibet. Check-in at the hotel once you reach in Gyantse. Overnight in hotel.

  • Day 5 : Sightseeing in Gyantse and drive to Xigatse (3900 m) | Driving Duration: 2-3 hours

    In first half of the day, we will go for sightseeing tour in Gyantse. We will go to explore the Pholkor and Khumbum monasteries. We will have lunch after exploring picturesque Gyantse and then drive to Xigatse which is 90 km from Gyantse. We will drive across the highway enjoying a captivating mountain landscape along the way. After reaching Xigatse, we check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Overnight in hotel.

  • Day 6 : Drive from Xigatse to Shegar (4050 m) | Driving Duration: 8-9 hours

    Today, we will drive to Shegar across the 5220- meter Gyatso La Pass. Though the driving duration is 8-9 hours, you will enjoy the journey as we pass through different interesting places, monasteries, herders, and rural Tibetan landscapes. After driving the distance of 244 km, we finally reach to Shegar. Overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 7 : Drive from Shegar to Rongbuk (4920 m) | Driving Duration: 3-4 hours

    After an early morning breakfast, we will start driving towards Rongbuk valley. We continue our drive via Pang La pass. From the Pang La pass, we can see the breathtaking views of different Himalayan range. As we descend to the Rongbuk valley, we will get our first glimpse of magnificent Mount Everest. Overnight stay in a hotel in Rongbuk.

  • Day 8 : Rongbuk – Everest Base Camp (5250 m) – Zhangmu (2300 m) | Trekking Duration: 4-5 hours

    Trekking for 4-5 hours. The highlight of this trip will come true today when we stand at the base of 8848 m High Mountain. Mt. Chomolungma is the Tibetan name of Everest. We will capture and enjoy the breathtaking Early in the morning, we trek to the Everest Base Camp. We will reach the base camp after g views of Mt. Everest and other Himalayan ranges. After spending some fantastic moments at the base camp, we will drive to Zhangmu- a lovely village in southern Tibet. The village can be reached only after driving across the high Himalayan passes of Lalung La, Shung La and Nyalam. After you arrive in Zhangmu, have a rest. Overnight in local lodge.

  • Day 9 : Drive from Zhangmu to Kathmandu (1300 m) | Driving Duration: 8 hours

    Today, we will be travelling to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. We cross the friendship bridge in Tatopani, east of Kathmandu, on the Nepal- Tibet border. After a brief drive from Zhangmu, we arrive at the border. We'll have to go through some custom procedures before we enter Nepal. Today's drive will take us through Tibetan and Nepalese landscapes. After a 4 hour drive from the border, we arrive in Kathmandu. Rest in your hotel room for the remaining time. Overnight in hotel.

  • Day 10 : Love Kathmandu Tour (Hidden places of Kathmandu and Durbar square)

    After breakfast at your Hotel, we take you to tour around Kathmandu city to experience the historical, cultural and spiritual affluence to unveil the social and historical mysteries. This historical, cultural and spiritual city unveils the social and historical mysteries to visitors. You will walk through the narrow lanes of the ancient Kathmandu – the center of power – that includes markets of Ason, Glass beads market at Indrachowk, oldest supermarket at New Road, Kilagal, and Hidden Stupas inside the family courtyard. Visit of Kathmandu Durbar Square – the administrative quarter of Malla Kings (fourteenth to eighteenth century), and Shah Kings who ruled Nepal from 1768 until 2008. The most unique experience in the square is the visit to the temple of the living goddess “Kumari”. After the tour, return back to your Hotel. If you are staying in Thamel, you can hang around this bustling tourist market and enjoy shopping. Overnight in hotel.

  • Day 11 : Departure Day

    You will be transferred to International Airport of Kathmandu 3 hours prior to your flight time and your tour to Nepal ends here.
