The Madhya Pradesh tiger reserves are even more popular with wildlife enthusiasts than the forests of Central India. In addition to having a high concentration of tigers, which improves sightings, these national parks also offer a broad diversity of terrain, which means that you may see the greatest variety of birds and other animals there.
The Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, which includes Tadoba National Park, is situated in the state of Maharashtra in central India. It is the oldest and biggest national park in Maharashtra and is renowned for having one of India's highest tiger concentrations. Taru, a deity in the area, is the name of the park. In 1955, Tadoba was designated as a national park.
On the boundary between the states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, in the centre of India, is where you'll find Pench National Park. The Pench River, which cuts through the park and divides it into about equal halves, gave the park its name when it was first established in 1975. The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling was famously set in the lush Seoni region. The tiger is the major draw here, but there are also plenty of leopards, sloth bears, several types of deer, and other birds to be found in the park.
The largest national park in India's Madhya Pradesh state is Kanha National Park. The tiger reserve is home to sizable populations of tigers, sloth bears, leopards, and other animals, as well as almost 250 different kinds of birds. Only in Kanha can one find the Southern Swamp Deer, while efforts are being made to relocate it elsewhere in central India.
Bandhavgarh National Park features one of India's highest tiger concentrations and is named for the Bandhavgarh Fort, which is currently located inside the park. The tiger reserve, which served as the Maharaja of Rewa's hunting grounds initially, was established as a national park in 1968. The park is home to more than 200 different kinds of birds in addition to a strong population of leopards, sloth bears, tigers, and other animals.
