Day 1 : Delhi to Shimla (385 Kms/10 Hrs):
On arrival at the airport or the railway station, you will be warmly greeted and welcomed by the Footloose Holidays representative. After being picked up from one of the above mentioned location, brace yourself for a beautiful journey, leading to one of the most famous hill stations of India, called Shimla which also enjoyed the status of being the summer capital of the country under the British rule. To make your journey more enjoyable, en route visit Pinjore Gardens located at Ambala-Shimla Highway, a refreshing summer retreat to freshen up and rejuvenate your spirits. You may also visit Timber Trail, another tourist attraction which offers a cable car ride, giving you the picturesque view of the breathtaking beauty of Himalayas. Enjoy rest of the journey clicking pictures of calm and panoramic view. On arrival at Shimla, check-in at the hotel. Enjoy the sumptuous dinner and a relaxed overnight stay.
Day 2 : Shimla Sightseeing Tour Begins:
Post a hearty breakfast, it is time to take an excursion to Kufri. Kufri is a small town, 20 kms ahead of Shimla known for its Himalayan National Park which provides a breathtaking view of the surroundings. You can also enjoy Pony and Yak Ride here. Post lunch begin with sightseeing of various places in and around Shimla. Feel awe-struck at the architectural beauty of these quaint structures like Vice Regal Lodge (1885) or Christ Church (1844). Gaiety Theatre of Shimla, one of the famous and oldest landmarks of Shimla must not be missed by the art lovers as this theatre has a lot to offer.
Finally, come to the Scandal Point and enjoy the stroll between the Mall and the Ridge, while shopping for little nothings around the place. You can also visit Lakkar Bazaar which caters for wooden artefacts and many mementoes to be carried as keepsake. Enjoy another memorable night at this amazing destination.
Day 3 : Shimla to Manali (265 Kms/8 Hrs):
It is hard to part from Shimla but it is heartening to know that more such beautiful destinations await you. Post a sumptuous breakfast, check- out from the hotel and depart for Manali, a hill station famous for adventure seekers and nature lovers. On the way to Manali, you must visit Pandho Dam built on mighty Beas River and Hanogi Mata Temple, known to hold the attention of the visitors because of its breathtaking view as it is located at hilltop. On arrival at Manali, check-in at your pre-booked hotel and enjoy your delicious dinner as well as the overnight stay with a feeling of excitement and anticipation of the next day sightseeing tour.
Day 4 : Manali (local sightseeing begins):
Following a hearty breakfast, it is time to set out for sightseeing of places in and around Manali, like Hadimba Temple, reminding you of a character from the Mahabharata, worshipped till date in this cave temple. Also visit, Manu Temple, the only temple dedicated to sage Manu. Continue your sightseeing trip with a visit to Vashisht Bath, Van Vihar, Tibetan Monastery and Club House. Keep your evening free to take a stroll and shopping at the local market Mall Road.
Day 5 : Rohtang Pass (100 Km round tour):
It is time to explore new heights with the visit to this high mountain pass called Rohtang Pass, connecting Kullu Valley to Lahaul and Spiti Valleys. Rohtang pass is 51 kms from Manali, situated at the height of 3978 mtrs. Well known for its unpredictable blizzards, this pass enjoys the reputation of being the oldest and the most frequented pass in the region. It also offers a panoramic view of the mountains, making one realise the grandeur of Himalayan ranges. This pass is worth the visit, adding to so much fun being surrounded by the snow clad mountains. After coming back, sit back and enjoy the yummilicious food at the hotel and a good sleep in the lap of refreshing backgrounds.
Day 6 : Manali - Naggar - Kullu - Manikaran:
It’s time to bid farewell to Manali. Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel and depart for Kullu Valley. While covering this 40 kms distance, en route Jagatsukh Temple; Naggar, an ancient capital of Kullu Kingdom, Rorick Art Gallery is a must for art lovers. You may also like to visit Kullu Vaishno Devi Temple and Kullu Shawl weaving industries. One destination which must not be missed is Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, Sikh pilgrimage, located near hot springs which are believed to cure many human ailments. Finally it is time to check-in at the hotel at Kullu. After a long day, dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await you at this broad open picturesque valley’s hotel.
Day 7 : Kullu - Delhi (540 kms/12hrs.):
Following a very early breakfast, it is time to depart for Delhi around 7.30 A.M.
Day 8 : Delhi
Following your delicious breakfast, depart for Delhi local sightseeing which you can have choice of visiting a few historical monuments like Qutub Minar, Red Fort or Raj Ghat or visiting a few bazaars to shop around. Later, you will be dropped to Railway Station or Airport for your onward journey.
