Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Chennai Meals:

  Board flight for Chennai . Arrive Chennai meet our representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Check into hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 2 : Chennai Local Sightseeing Meals

  Morning after breakfast , visit the Gateway of South India and rich in its culture. Visit Kapaleeswarar temple , Santhome Church, Fort Museum and National Art Gallery. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

• Day 3 : Chennai – Mahabalipuram Meals:

  After breakfast you will be driven to Mahabalipuram and upon arrival at Mahabalipuram check in at a beach resort. Spend rest of the day relaxing at the beach , Stay overnight at Mahabalipuram

• Day 4 : Mahabalipuram Meals:

  After morning breakfast proceed for a local tour of Mahabalipuram. The main attractions at Mahabalipuram are the Shore temples ,Arjuna’ Penance , Krishna Mandapam , Mahishasurmardini cave , varaha Mandapam etc. Stay overnight at Mahabalipuram beach resort.

• Day 5 : Mahabalipurak – Kanchipuram -Pondicherry Meals:

  Morning after breakfast drive for Kanchipuram (City of thousands Temple), and visit Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, Kumarakottam temple.Vaikunta Perfumal Temple
  Later, you will be driven to Pondicherry and upon arrival, check in at hotel . Stay overnight at hotel.

• Day 6 : Pondicherry Meals:

  Pondicherry is one of the most beautiful and magnificent places in India. For most parts of Colonial history of India, Pondicherry remained under the French suzerainty. After morning breakfast, you will be taken for a city tour of Pondicherry. The Aurobindo Ashram is one of the most important attractions in Pondicherry. Sri Aurobindo Ghose, the freedom fighter and philosopher poet founded it in 1926. Other places of interest at Pondicherry are Promenade, Auroville, the Botanical Garden, temples, Museum etc. Stay overnight at hotel in Pondicherry.

• Day 7 : Tanjore Meals:

  Morning after breakfast, drive for Tanjore , on arrival check into hotel, dinner and overnight rest in the hotel.

  After breakfast visit Tanjore - The home of Carnatic music, musical instruments, dance and traditional handcrafts, Tanjore (Thanjavur) is famous for the Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple constructed more than a thousand years ago by the Chola King Raja Rajan is an architect's marvel. The Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library are also well known places of interest. Rest of the time at Leisure, Overnight at Hotel.

• Day 9 : Trichy Meals:

  Morning after breakfast drive to Trichy and on arrival check into hotel , visit Srirangam. 5 kms from Trichy, located in an island is Srirangam. Surrounded by the Kaveri water is a 600 acre island town enclosed within the seven walls on the gigantic Sri Ranganathaswami temple. There are no less than 22 gopurams, one of which is the tallest in India. The 72 m high 13 tiered gopuram dominates the landscape for miles around.The Rock Fort situated on the banks of the Kaveri river, Trichy's most famed land mark is an 84 m high rock, one of the oldest in the world aprox.3,800 million years. The attraction is not for fort itself but the temple at the summit. 344 steps hewn out of rock lead to the top where are the inscriptions dating back to the 3rd century BC Overnight at Hotel.

  Morning after breakfast drive to Madurai. Upon arrival check in at hotel . Afternoon go for local city tour for Madurai visit Sri Meenakshi Temple and Tirumalai Nayak Palace . Overnight stay in Madurai

• Day 11 : Periyar Meals:

  Morning after breakfast drive to Periyar, check into hotel then visit south India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary. Spread over an area of 777 sq km, this sanctuary has about 35 tigers and leopards. However, sighting a tiger in Periyar is a fortune for one out of thousand. The park encompasses a 26 sq km artificial lake and is the home of sambars, wild boars, elephants and antelopes which can be occasionally seen on the banks of the river during a boat cruise. Periyar, otherwise, blessed by Nature has enormous tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations and is lush green. Afternoon boat cruise on Lake Periyar to view wildlife. Overnight at hotel

This hill Station was once the Summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.
