Day 1 : Arrive Kathmandu by flight

Day 6 : Kushinagar-Vaishali-Rajgir by surface
An ancient town in Uttar Pradesh, Kushinagar derived its name from Kusha, the son of Lord Ram. Being a major pilgrim hub for the Buddhists in India, Kushinagar has earned great popularity around the world. Mahaparinirvana Temple here is believed to be housing the remains of Lord Buddha. The town is believed to the final resting place of Gautama Buddha.
Day 7 : Rajgir-Bodhgaya by surface
Bodhgaya is an important place in the city of Gaya that charms pilgrims seeking Nirvana. This crucible of Buddhism was built at this place where Prince Siddhartha attained enlightenment under a bodhi tree and became Buddha. The Great Buddha Statue here looks immensely soul soothing.
Day 8 : Rajgir
The sights of Buddhist monks meditating on Vulture's Peak are common yet fascinating in Rajgir. With endless pearls of Buddhism weaved together, Rajgir remains popular among pilgrims all over the world. Some of the major attractions here include Shanti Stupa, Gridhakuta Hill and Saptparni Cave.
Day 9 : Varanasi-Agra by overnight train
An abode of Buddhism, Varanasi is an ideal destination to purify your soul. It is believed that after attaining Nirvana, Buddha came to Varanasi in search of his five disciples. Situated merely 8 kilometres from Varanasi, Sarnath is a major Buddhist site venerated by the Buddhists from all across the globe. This is the place where Lord Gautam Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.
Day 10 : Arrive Agra
Other than the iconic Taj Mahal, Agra is also popular for Sankasia, a place where Buddha along with Brahma and Devraj Indra came down after giving sermons to his mother in heaven. Today, this place has a temple featuring a statue of the Buddha.
