Day 1 : Istanbul Arrivals
After arrival into Istanbul you will transfer from the airport & check in to your hotel. Tonight you will enjoy a welcome dinner .Enjoy the mystical atmosphere of Istanbul at night. (Dinner Included)
Day 2 : Historical treasures of Istanbul
You will be picked up from your hotel and you will go to visit first St. Hagia Sophia, This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architectural marvels of all time .. Hagia Sophia,is one of the greatest surviving examples of Byzantine architecture.Of great artistic value was its decorated interior with mosaics and marble pillars and coverings.The temple itself was so richly and artistically decorated that Justinian proclaimed ,”Solomon, I have outdone thee “ Justinian himself had overseen the completion of the greatest cathedral ever built up to that time, and it was to remain the largest cathedral for 1,000 years up until the completion of the cathedral in Seville in Spain. Blue Mosque built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet , mosque recognizable from its six minarets and decorated inside with 21,043 tiles from Iznik in a dominant blue color;because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.Hippodrome,Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. We continue to Topkapi Palace,The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of cyrstal,silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures,the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. Suleymaniye Mosque, Süleyman the Magnificent was built between 1550 and 1557 by the famous architect Sinan whose wish was to surpass the builders of St. Sophia which is conspicuous from its great size, emphasized by the four minarets rising one from each corner of the courtyard. Conclude your day of touring with a short drive to the exotic Grand Cover Bazaar, Closed on Sundays and Feast days) which is one of the most colorful institutions of Istanbul. In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more then 4,000 shops with each trade having its own area. Day 3 : Bosphorus Cruise in the middle of the continent of Europe and Asia
You will be picked up from your hotel to visit Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), Closed on Feast days) air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other concievable herb and spice. Free time for shopping . A traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia Bosphorus Tour on Boat. The shore is lined with old wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses, and small fishing villages. During the excursion you will pass the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace and further along are the parks and imperial pavillions of Yildiz Palace, Ciragan Palace with its 300 meters of marble facade faces the shore. Rumeli Fortres, was built by Mehmet the Conqueror in 1452 prior to the conquest of Istanbul and was completed in only four months to control and protect Bosphorus and it is one of the most beautiful works of military architecture anywhere in the world. Beylerbeyi Palace was the summer residence of ottoman sultans with its original furniture and magnificent gardens with the Harem. Bosphorus Bridge is unique change to step from one continent such as Asia to another been Europe, Camlica Hill is the highest point in istanbul and at the top of it you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the bosphours from the beautiful gardens, landscaped in traditional style. Day 4 : Istanbul The End of The Tour
