Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Hanoi

Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will meet our tour guide and transfer to your hotel in downtown Hanoi. On the way to Hanoi, your tour guide is briefing your tour and give you some information about Hanoi.
At late of the afternoon you are welcome to Hanoi walking tour, in this tour we are proud to introduce you about the delicious food and culture of us. Hanoi, where more than 10 million people living is notable for the first day you come to our country.
After introducing the vehicles and habits of people in the traffic, your guide will take you to visit the old quarter of Hanoi. You will go through the streets, the small alley to understand the life of the people here. Beer will be the drink we want to invite you before you enjoy dinner with Vietnamese delights. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2 : Transfer to Na Pang Village (that Khe) Via Lang Son.

Breakfast in the hotel before we head north to Lang Son. Leaving Hanoi on National Highway 1A, we will cross the green rice fields and crowded industrial areas. But the village image behind the frame of the car is still the highlight of the simple life of my homeland. After two hours in the car, we will stop at a street cafe to enjoy the perfect cup of coffee. We continue our journey to Lang Son, a northeastern border province of Vietnam where we have a lunch. After lunch, we will visit Tam Thanh cave in there people built the pagoda and carved Buddha statue on the rock wall in 15 century. ATA's guide will explain to you about Buddhism and beliefs in our country.
After visiting Tam Thanh cave we continue to That Khe, a small quiet town. The afternoon ride is very nice as we drive through the beautiful area with forested mountains and peaceful tribal villages.
We arrival in That Khe in the late afternoon and we walk to Na Pang village where we will have dinner and stay overnight with a local family.
Day 3 : That Khe - Na Pang Village - Pac Khoang Village

8:00 am after your breakfast at the homestay. We will start our trek to Pac Khoang. Today we will trek along valleys with on small paths that only used by the locals to go to their farms and surrounding villages. We will cross some small streams and tackle some easy hill slopes. Picnic lunch on the way. We would reach Pac Khoang around 5:00 pm. Pac Khoang is a village of Dzao ethnic minority. Tonight we will have dinner and overnight with a local family.
Day 4 : Pac Khoang Village - Dong Khe - Na Nieng Village

Breakfast and begin the trek around 8:30 am. This morning we trek mainly downhill to Dong Khe we will have a stop for lunch on the way down. The morning trek route is on village road and jungle trails with a nice view of rice and corn fields along valleys but rather energy-absorbing. We reach Dong Khe at noon. After lunch, we continue trekking to Na Nieng Village which is home to Tay ethnic minority. In the afternoon is a bit harder than the one in the morning since we have more uphill terrain to tackle. We reach Pac Khoang Village around 5:00 pm. Today we will have dinner and stay overnight in a local house.
Day 5 : Na Nieng Village - La Village

8:00 am after breakfast we start the adventure of the day. Today we trek up and down on some forested limestone mountains to reach La, a beautiful village of Tay ethnic minority. Today we have some stops for refreshment in remote tribal villages as we encounter during the trek. Dinner and overnight at homestay.
Day 6 : La Village - Ta Lung - Cao Bang

8:00 am breakfast we leave the village for Ta Lung, the border gate with China. We will trek through the jungle and cross some small streams. Near Ta Lung, we cross Bang Giang River on a bamboo raft. Lunch in Ta Lung before we take a van transfer to Cao Bang Town. Check in hotel in Cao Bang and spend the rest of the day relaxing in local café or wander around the town. Dinner and overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 7 : Transfer to Ba Be National Park

8:00 say goodbye to Cao Bang and take a transfer to Ba Be National Park. On this morning we will drive on the N03 road of Vietnam, we passing many passes and stop at the top of Gio pass to take some photos.
Upon arrival in Cho Ra Town, we will have lunch in the local restaurant before taking a relaxing boat trip on Nang River at Puoc Lom and enter the beautiful Ba Be Lake. We will cruise through Puong Cave, a huge tunnel runs through a mountain. After the boat trip, we reach Po Lu village. Dinner and overnight in the local house.
Day 8 : Kayaking Ba Be National Park

Breakfast at the homestay. We will have a short motorcycle ride to the starting point where we begin a short walk through the jungle. At some resting place, we can have a great view of Babe Lake. After 1 hour trekking, we descend to the lake shore and cross a bridge to An Ma Island visit to the temple on this island before we start the kayaking time. Leave the island we paddle to Dau Dang Waterfall where we will have a lunch in the restaurant on the Nang River, after lunch, we will get the beautiful natural setting of the waterfall. After all, we paddle back to Babe Lake. If weather permits we can swim in the Emeraude cool water of the lake. Back to Po Lu village for another night at the homestay.
Day 9 : Ba Be National Park - Hanoic

After breakfast, we take a short boat ride to the NP dock where we get on the van for the ride back to Hanoi. Lunch on the way, following lunch we stop at the Vietnam culture museum in Thai Nguyen city where you can enjoy some interesting information about the ethnic culture of Vietnam. We arrived in Hanoi around 5 pm. Check in hotel and free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10 : Hanoi Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Our guide and driver are at your disposal until we transfer you to the airport for your flight home or connect to another adventure in Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar with ActiveTravel.Asia.
