Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Bangalore & Half Day Bangalore Sightseeing

Upon your arrival at Bangalore Airport//Railway Station, meet our representative who will greet you and assist you with a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Check in and relax. Bangalore is also known as 'The Garden City'. Also a major IT hub, Bangalore is India's very own Silicon Valley. Visit the famous sites of this vibrant cosmopolitan city to experience a fascinating mix of the old and new.

Bangalore Palace is a majestic palace enclosed by beautiful gardens and located in the heart of the city. Its architecture features a wooden structure with intricate carvings and is quite reminiscent of medieval castles and bygone royal culture.

Sri Radha Krishna Temple is a magnificent shrine and one of the largest ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temples in the world.

Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is home to museums that feature rare collections, such as Mysore paintings, leather puppets, Russian artists, and various sculptures. Venkatappa Art Gallery is a great stop for art lovers. It features sculptures, paintings, and a good collection of artefacts.

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, previously known as the Rose and Cypress garden, got its name from the collection of red roses that bloomed all year round in this garden. It is considered one of the most diverse botanical gardens in South Asia and was built way back in 1760.

Vidhana Soudha counts as one of the most imposing as well as the most magnificent buildings in Bangalore. It rises to a height of almost 46 m and is mainly famous for housing the Legislative Chambers of the state government.

Your evening is free for leisure and your own activity. Bangalore is great for shopping and a fun night out. Shop for sarees, jewelery, silk, handicrafts and antiques. Go for a pub crawl in the heart of Bangalore! Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Bangalore.

Day 2 : Transfer from Bangalore to Mysore via Srirangapatna

Post breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Mysore (150Kms/3.5Hrs), popularly known as "The City of Palaces".

En route visit Srirangapatna located 18 km from Mysore. Srirangapatna is a small island formed by the river Cauvery and its tributaries. It was once the capital of the Mysore state under the legendary king Tipu Sultan and since then famous for its religious, cultural and historic importance. Prime attractions are Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple, Daria Daulat (Palace of Tipu Sultan) and Gumbaz (Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan).

Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple: A mesmerizing example of Hoysala and Vijayanagar architectural style, this temple was first built in 894 AD. It is one of the most important Vaishnavite shrines in South India. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This idol is supposed to be the biggest statue of Vishnu in the reclining form (Adidesha) in Karnataka.

Tipu's Summer Palace: Also known as Daria Daulat Bagh. Tipu Sultan built this palace in 1784 and ruled Mysore from here for a short time after his father Hyder Ali wrested power from the Wodeyars in the middle of the 18th century. The palace is built in the Indo-Sarcenic style and in mostly made of teakwood. Its surrounded by a lush gardens on the southern bank of the river. The Daria Daulat Bagh palace is now converted in a museum and houses sketches, drawings, paintings along with block prints and Tipu's clothes.

Srirangapatna Fort: Known for its historical significance and architectural brilliance, this fort was originally built in 1454 AD. This Fort has four main entrances and has a double wall defense system, which is what makes it one of the toughest forts.

Gumbuz: Gumbaz is the Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, his father Hider Ali and mother Fakr-Un-Nisa. Built in Persian style of architecture, Surrounded by beautiful garden named as Lalbagh, the imposing structure of Gumbaz is seen in the middle on an elevated platform.

On arrival at Mysore check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening visit Krishna Raja Sagara Dam built over the River Cauvery near to the conjunction of three rivers namely, Cauvery, Hemavathi & Lakshmana Thirtha. Get mesmerized by colorful & stunning Brindavan Gardens known for its symmetric design and illuminated terrace gardens. The main attraction at the Brindavan Gardens is the beautiful array of musical fountains. Coupled with laser lights, these fountains are synchronised to music and go live at the time when the garden is lit up.

Mysore is also a shopping destination. Explore shopping at the local market. Take home Mysore silk saris, Mysore sandalwood artefacts & handicrafts, incense sticks, coffee, wooden toys and traditional Mysore paintings called Ganjifa paintings.

Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Mysore hotel.

Day 3 : Transfer from Mysore to Ooty & Half Day Ooty Sightseeing

After breakfast today, check out from your hotel and get ready for a comfortable transfer to Ooty (150 kms/4 hrs). On arrival in Ooty, check in to the hotel and get comfortable. Later, set out on a half- day sightseeing tour of Ooty.

Visit the famous Botanical Garden- a vast expanse of lawn going steeply uphill with variety of trees, shrubs as well as some conservatories with exotic ferns and flowering plants. Highlight of this park is the fossilized tree belonging to the pre-historic era, kept as natural exhibit. According to carbon dating findings, it is about 20 million-year-old.

Next visit Rose Garden, it displays more than 20,000 varieties of roses collected from different parts of the world. Unusual colours of black and green roses are also found. Relish a spectacular view of entire Ooty from Rose Garden.

In the evening, make your way to Ooty Lake - an artifical lake & one of the famous tourist spots in Ooty. Enjoy boating, cycling, photography and a mini toy train ride. Indulge in shopping around Ooty lake for chocolates, local handicraft, shawls, eucalyptus oil etc.

Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 4 : Day at Leisure

Spend the day today at leisure or explore Ooty by your own.

Post breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Kodaikanal (250Kms/6Hrs), one of the most popular and serene hill stations of Tamilnadu with cloud-capped mountains, scenic waterfalls, clear lakes and beautiful valleys.

Next visit Kodai Lake - a star shaped lake located centrally in Kodaikanal with Palani hills in the backdrop. Its a man made lake and major touist landmark. Enjoy boating, horse riding, cycling etc. (on direct payment basis). Check in to your hotel and relax.
