Package Overview

Tsum Valley Trekking trail takes us across the Tsum Valley, an undiscovered land located in the remote corner of Nepal. Tsum valley trekking is a new trekking route in Nepal. Until recently this region was barred to trekkers. However, realizing the potential for tourism in this area the Nepalese government opened this region for tourists. Tsum valley trekking region is rich in cultural heritage and we can see number of Chortens, Gumbas and Mani walls throughout this trek.

The 'Abominable Snowman or 'Yeti' has been reportedly seen in this remote land The Tsum Valley is also home to a pilgrimage route because it is believed that the great Buddhist Guru Milarepa had once meditated in the mountain caves of this valley. We also get to visit the famous natural hot springs in Tatopani in this trek. It is believed that the hot water of these springs cure any kind of allergies related to our skin. So, it is also available in Tsum valley trekking.

Tsum Valley is believed to be one of Buddhism's sacred hidden valleys, and as such, Tsum valley trekking holds important old monasteries amid remote villages. For centuries, people there have depended on subsistence agriculture, grazing herds of yak, and trading with Tibet. The trails curve past square chortens and piles of stones hand-carved with Buddhist prayers and deities. People still grow barley and tend to their yaks. Tsum valley trekking is opened for tourism only three years ago. Tsum Valley is well-preserved culturally and environmentally plus has breathtaking beauty and big mountain views.

As an added feature to the trip, you will be traveling with a Buddhist lama that will be with our group during the trek. The lama will teach us about the basics of Buddhism, help coordinate a special blessing ceremony at one of the area monasteries, lead optional brief meditation sessions for interested clients, and generally provide a deeper level of entree to Tsum Valley's rich cultural heritage.Nepal visa which obtained at the airport on arrival {bring 4 copies passport size picture too}

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Kathmandu - 1360m

  You will be warm welcomed at airport by our office representative and then you will transfer to hotel. Our staff will give brief explanation about the program. This day you can stay within the hotel or enjoy night at Thamel, Kingsway especially famous for clubs and bars.

• Day 2 : Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar - (535m)

  fter breakfast, we drive along the Prithivi highway approximately 70 kilometer from Kathmandu & cross the Trishuli river then 18 kilometer to reach to Dhading Benshi where we will have lunch. It is black topped road till Dhading Benshi for 3 hours drive then further next 3 hours drive will be bumping road. It is yours choice drive by private 4 wheel Jeep or public bus. Driving along the scenic villages, rivers & can be visible mount Ganesh Himal & Manaslu. Overnight camp at Budi Gandaki river bank on full board meals.

• Day 3 : Trek to Khursani - 6 hrs Trek

  It is first day of our trek and we follow the bank Budi Gandaki river through classic Gurung villages & farming field. It could be a hot day because of low elevation. Overnight camp on full board meals.

• Day 4 : Trek to Jagat - (1410m) 8 hrs Trek

  Today also stars trekking with following the same river with gorges of Budi Gandaki river and less cultivated region. Trails lead gradually ascending. Today we entered the restricted area from Jagat. Overnight camp on full board meals.

• Day 5 : Trek to Lhokpa - (2240m) 7.5 hrs Trek

  Still, we are trekking bank of the Budi Gandaki narrow valley and more cultivated than previous day. This day we will see the massive view of Ganesh Himal and Shringi Himal. Overnight at tent with full board of meals.

• Day 6 : Trek to Chumling - (2390m) 3 hrs Trek

  With following above the same river as passing days & do not confused that we are still same way for the Manaslu round trekking. After lunch we will be separated towards to wild route of Tsum valley. Today mostly, we trek through forest. There are two villages of Gurung where we do camp. Overnight camp on full board meals.

• Day 7 : Trek to Chokangparo - (3010m) 4 hrs Trek

  Gradually climbs up the trails through pine forest to Chhekampar. It begins trekking between the ranges of Ganesh Himal. It is the forbidden valley regarding living things that not to be made disfigurement. Overnight camp on full board meals.

• Day 8 : Trek to Lama Gaon - (3240m) 2 hrs Trek

  This day we have to move ascent through the local villages and wider cultivated land, partly pine forest. After 3 hrs walk we reach at Lama Gaon. We visit this afternoon Milarepa cave monastery above 45 minutes from the campsite.Overnight camp on full board of meals.

• Day 9 : Trek to Mu-Gumpa - (3700m) 4 hrs Trek

  This day, we follow along the Shiar Khola {stream}. The people of the Tum valley are called gurung but they follow Tibetan culture. There are couples of villages where we do mostly lunch here. We have to cross the bridge to get Nile. And trek continue gradually ascending to reach Mu Gumpa, it is the last settlement of the Tsum valley. Overnight camp on full board meals.

• Day 10 : Trek to Bajyo - (4030m) 5 hrs Trek

  The trails follow up along the valley till our today’s campsite. Trekkers need to be concerted on the trail because narrow & cliffy trail. Of course, we will pass through Lakpa & Kalung kharka. Overnight camp on full board meals.

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with tea and coffee
• Day 11 : Leisure Day

  Today, crews staying at camp and guide will bring you to the border sight. This is the trade route between Nepal and Tibet via Nguladhojyang pass with the elevated 5093m. It is your choice either go to there or not. If you visit this top then you will see beautiful landscape of Tibet plateau around Kerung which is the boarder of Nepal & Tibet along the Syabru Benshi. Our kitchens crews will be provided you pack lunch this day if you are interested go to boarder sight. It takes about 8/9 hours. Back to camp, overnight on full board meals.

• Day 12 : Back to Rachen Gumpa - (3240m) 5 hrs Trek

  This day, we follow trail back down same trail till Phurbe then we do not cross the bridge because we toward to Rachen Gmpa which is the next face of the Lama Gaun where we had stayed on days 8. Overnight camp on full board meals.

• Day 13 : Trek to Chumling - (2390m) 6 hrs Trek

  From the Rachen Gompa, trails following above the river {Shiar Khola}till to be joined the next trail which followed up for Lama Gaun at village 3219m. Overnight camp on full board meals.

• Day 14 : Trek to Philim

  After breakfast, we trek back to Philim. And overnight at tented camp with full board meals.

  After breakfast, we trek back toLhapubesi. And overnight at tented camp with full board meals.

  After breakfast, we trek back to Arughat. And overnight at Lodge with full board meals.

• Day 17 : Drive back to Kathmandu

  After breakfast, we take a drive back to Kathmandu. And overnight at Hotel in B/B plan.

  This day, you will visit many cultural heritages, which includes some of the famous world’s heritages like Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bouddhanath stupa and many more. You can do shopping various Nepalese cultural stuffs in this day. And Back to hotel for overnight.

  Today is your departure day, we will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and pray for your Safe journey.
