Transportation
All long-distance travel in the tour is done by train. Trains are comfortable and environmentally friendly option for transportation on our trips.
For your comfort we make sure you have 2nd class compartment tickets only (four people per compartment). For short distance you will travel by car/mini-bus (depending on the group size)

Extra meals
Day 1 : Pick-up and Welcome
Pick-up and Welcome. Meeting with your Active Ukraine guide. Hotel check-in.
Take a guided tour along city’s major landmarks and attractions. Visit the UNESCO-listed St. Sophia Cathedral with its beautiful frescoes; take a walk at St. Andrew’s Descent – street of writers and artists; learn more about the environmental challenges at National Chernobyl Museum, stroll along the main street Khreshchatyk, and sip delicious tea at the famous Independence Square.
In the evening relax in the greenery of Kyiv Mariyinsky Park and enjoy the stunning views of majestic Dnieper River.

Day 2 : Visit non-tourist sites
Visit non-tourist sites of Kyiv (Kyiv Off the Beaten Track), have a chance to take photographs of elderly babushka.
Transfer to Odessa.
Overnight in a train ( 2nd class compartment)
Day 3 : Arrive to Odesa.
Transfer to Danube Delta (Vylkovo). This place is called Ukrainian Venice. Visit Danube Delta reserve. Meet locals at Lipovan communities. Lipovans are Old Beleivers. The main centre of Lipovan community in Ukraine is located right in Vylkovo. In order to construct their homes, the Lipovans create islets of dry land by digging mud out from trenches and making a series of canals.
Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 4 : Day at Leisure
Spend one more day at Lipovan community. Get to know more about their lifestyle, make it an interesting experience for yourself.
Transfer to Odesa.
Transfer to Lviv.
Overnight in a train (2nd compartment).
Day 5 : Lviv – Ukraine
Explore Lviv – Ukraine’s most charming and romantic city. Walk along the hidden valleys of its cobbled streets: full of coffee shops, street musicians, and art galleries. Wander around Rynok Square – UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit city’s magnificent and world-class Opera Theater (optional)
Relax in the greenery of Stryjskyi park, stroll around or take a short cycling tour in the park.
Overnight in a 3 star hotel.
Day 6 : Polissya
Travel to Polissya region, Ukraine’s least explored North. Observe its wonderful world of flora and fauna, take spectacular pictures of the wild nature.
Overnight in a rural guesthouse.
Day 7 : Europe’s
Take a train along one of Europe’s longest and oldest narrow-gauge railways. Visit the farthest and wildest corners of the country. This journey will draw your attention to the nature untouched by man, calm forest inhabitants and the longest wooden bridge in Ukraine.

Day 8 : Travel back to Lviv.
Spend the day relaxing and arranging any necessities you might have in Lviv city.

Day 9 : Ivano – Frankivsk
Take a morning train to Ivano – Frankivsk. Transfer to Kosmach – an off-the-beaten treck Hutsul village. Participate in daily life of village locals.
Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 10 : Travel to Dzembronia.
Visit traditional wool weaving craftsmen in the Yavoriv village.
Travel to Dzembronia.
Overnight in a family-owned guesthouse.
Day 11 : Spend 3 days
Spend 3 days exploring less accessible villages of Verkhovyna region: Hramota, Yavirnyk and others.
Transfer back to Lviv.
Take train to Kiev.
Overnight in a train (2nd class compartment).
Day 12 : Spend 3 days
Spend 3 days exploring less accessible villages of Verkhovyna region: Hramota, Yavirnyk and others.
Transfer back to Lviv.
Take train to Kiev.
