Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Camp

  After breakfast, transfer to the Umbwe Gate (1,800m) for registration and formalities.
  Begin the challenging trek through dense montane forest, ascending steeply via the Umbwe route.
  Arrive at Umbwe Camp (2,940m), your first campsite on the mountain.
  Rest, refuel, and enjoy dinner before settling in for the night.

• Day 2 : Umbwe Camp to Barranco Camp

  Wake up early for breakfast and continue the ascent through the forest.
  Traverse rocky terrain and ascend to Barranco Camp (3,960m) via the Southern Circuit route.
  Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the Barranco Valley.
  Rest and acclimatize at camp, preparing for the challenges ahead.

• Day 3 : Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

  Begin the day with a steep climb up the Barranco Wall, a thrilling highlight of the route.
  Traverse the Karanga Valley, ascending gradually towards Karanga Camp (3,995m).
  Enjoy breathtaking views of the glaciers and surrounding peaks along the way.
  Rest and acclimatize at camp, hydrating and refueling for the summit push.

• Day 4 : Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

  Depart Karanga Camp and continue the ascent towards Barafu Camp (4,600m), your final base camp.
  Ascend through alpine desert terrain, navigating rocky trails and high-altitude landscapes.
  Arrive at Barafu Camp and rest for the remainder of the day, mentally preparing for the summit bid.
  Eat an early dinner and retire to your tent for a few hours of rest before the summit attempt.

• Day 5 : Summit Day - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

  Awake before midnight for a light meal and begin the summit ascent under the cover of darkness.
  Trek through the night, guided by headlamps and the rhythmic crunch of gravel underfoot.
  Reach Stella Point (5,685m) at the edge of the crater rim, where you'll witness a breathtaking sunrise.
  Continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.
  Celebrate your achievement and soak in the panoramic views before beginning the descent.
  Descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for the night.

  Descend through lush rainforest from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (1,650m).
  Receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your guides and fellow trekkers.
  Transfer back to your hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved celebration and overnight stay.
