Day 1 : Yerevan
Airport assistance
Two young women in traditional costumes will welcome the group. The guests, accompanied by their guide, will head to the hotel. Luggage will be sent directly to the hotel by our staff.
Upon arriving in their room, our guests will find a welcome card from "Amistad Tour” along with a souvenir, a fruit basket, and a bottle of Armenian wine.
Our guests will stay at the Marriott Hotel, a 5 star property, located on Republic Square, and offering the following facilities:

Day 2 : Yerevan
The Full Day Tour will begin with the familiarization of Yerevan - the capital of Armenia. We start the tour from the History Museum of Armenia. After the visit a short coffee break in theCaféJazzve with delicious desserts, which is located near the History Museum. Next is a visitthe Genocide Memorial Complex and Museumto pay respects to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in 1915.
We’ll have lunch at the "Old Erivan”restaurant, which is known for its warm hospitality and wonderful cuisine. Here our guests will taste the best of Armenian dishes.
After lunch we’ll take a tour of the Matenadaran– one of the oldest and richest book depositories in the world. Its collection of about 17,000 manuscripts includes almost all the areas of ancient and medieval Armenian culture and sciences - history, medicine, philosophy, law, mathematics-cosmography, calendar theory, alchemy-chemistry, translations, literature, chronology, art history, miniature, music, and theatre.
We’ll have dinner at the Ararat restaurant. During the first part of the evening, our guests will be introduced to traditional folk dance, and enjoy the mystical sounds of the ancient Armenian duduk, a wind instrument, and will watch a charming ensemble playing stringedQanons. During the second part of the show, a showman will entertain the guests by singing popular hits in their native languages.
Day 3 : Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank – Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel we’ll drive towards Khor Virap Monastery (4-17th c.) whose name means deep dungeon. This complex is the place where the founder of Armenian church, St. Gregory the Illuminator, was imprisoned for being a Christian evangelist. He was freed when Armenia became Christian state in 301 A.D. Its location, near the closest point to Mount Ararat within Armenian borders, offers a spectacular view of the mountain, the national symbol of Armenia.
From there we’ll drive to the Vayots Dzor region. On the way we’ll visit a wine factory in the Areni growing regionwhere our travellers can taste delicious Armenian wine.
Then, we’ll drive through a rocky canyon and experience the unique scenery in the Amaghou Valley. Lunch will be served in the restaurant next to Noravank Monastery (13-14th century A.D.) where local organic food is served. The guests will have a great view of the canyon.
Surrounded by red and grey limestone cliffs our guests will then tour the monastery (13-14th cc.). It’s the only church in Armenia decorated with a unique relief representation of the large-headed and beardedGod the Father with large almond shaped eyes blessing the Crucifix with his right hand and holding in his left hand the head of Adam, with a dove - the Holy Spirit - above it. Noravank is a highly artistic monument reminiscent of the tower-like burial structures of the first years of Christianity in Armenia.
Dinner back in Yerevan will be in the scenic Hrazdan Gorge at the restaurant Florence where you can choose either Armenian or European fare.
Day 4 : Yerevan - Garni - Geghard
Buffet breakfast in the VIP lounge room for the group.
We’ll then drive to the Kotayk region. On the way, we’ll stop at the Charents Arch, named after the great Armenian Poet. Here there is a spectacular view of Mt. Ararat (weather permitting). Then, will proceed to visit the Geghard Monestary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Geghard was founded in the 4th century by Gregory the Illuminator around a spring in a cave and carved from the rock.
Afterwards we’ll visit to the pagan temple Yerevan-Garni-Geghard

There will then be a visit to the Greco-Roman Garni Temple, a pagan temple (1st century A.D.) and the fortress (2nd century B.C.) in Garni village. The visit includes an opportunity to listen to a capellaconcertin the natural acoustic hall of Garni and is followed by a khorovats (barbeque) prepared in a traditional tondir. Our guest will also see the process of making Armenian bread (lavash) at the home of an Armenian family.
Dinner at the Mezzo Jazz Club which organizes a variety of live concerts of local and foreign popular singers and bands. The music heard at Mezzo will make one’s evening complete and memorable. The club offers exquisite dishes from an international menu.
Day 5 : Haghpat and Sanahin Monasteries
After Breakfast, We’ll Head North to Visit the Haghpat Monastery and the Sanahin Monastery (10-13th Centuries), Both are Unesco World Heritage Sites. the Monasteries are Located in Two Neighboring Villages Located On the Samemid-mountain Plain, But Separated By a Deep Gorge.
we’ll have Lunch At a Local Restaurant Where You Will Taste Traditional Armenian Barbecue with a Great Variety of Salads.

Day 6 : Dilijan and Lake Sevan
After Breakfast, We’ll Travel to the Resort Town of Dilijan to Visit Two Terrific Monastic Complexes. First We’ll Visit Goshavank (12-13th Centuries, Located in Beautiful and Rocky Guetik Valley). the Reafter We’ll Visit Haghartsin, Which Was Built By Architect Minasin 1248 A.d. and Feature Slavish Decorations of Carved Stone. the Main Church is Typical of Churches Built Be Tween the Ten Than Dthirteenth Centuries.
from Dilijan We’ll Head to Lake Sevan. It is the Largest Lake in Armenia and One of the Largest High Alpinelakes in the World. Here We’ll Visit to See the Monastery of the Holy Apostles, Called Sevanavank, Which Was Founded in 874 A.d. By Princess Mariam Bagratuni.
we’ll have Lunch At the Ashot Erkat Restaurant, Located On the Lake Shore and Featuring Magnificent Panoramic Views. After Lunch, We’ll Take a Short Sailon a Replica of the Ancient Ship the Kilikia to have a Broader View of the Lake.
we’ll Finish the Day By Heading to Yerevan. Dinner Will Be At the Noyantun Restaurant, Which is a French Gourmand’s Delight. At Noyantun You Can Taste a Great Variety of Sea Foodand Meats, all Prepared On a Special Grill Made of Volcanic Stone. Noyantun also Features Wine from France, as Well as from the Old and New Worlds.
Day 7 : Yerevan - Echmiadzin - Zvartnots – Vernissage
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Echmiadzin to visit the Echmiadzin Cathedral which was constructed in 303 A.D. and is the first church built in the world. It continues to be the oldest church in Christianity. According to the Annals of S. V,St. Gregory had a vision of Christ descending from heaven and striking the Earth with a golden hammer to show where the new cathedral was to be erected.
We’ll also visit other famous churches in cluding the Church of St. Hripsime (618 A.D.) and The Church of St. Gayane (630 AD). Etchmiadzin is the residence of the Catholicos, the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
After lunch we’ll visit the Zvartnots Cathedral. It was a circular cathedral of VII century, the located about 15 kilometers west of Yerevan, on the edge of Etchmiadzin.
We’ll return to Yerevan and have time for shopping at Vernissage, the open-air crafts and souvenirs market.
Farewell dinner at the Greco-Roman Temple of Garni. The area will be closed for the public, giving total privacy to Your group. Once the guests enter the temple’s grounds, the lights will be turned on and a quartet, which will play soulful music and the temple will be illuminated by colorful lights. After a heart touching show, a special dinner will be served.
Day 8 : Departure
After Breakfast, Check-out and Transfer to the Airport. Luggage Will Be Transported Separately.
