Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Actually, Nepal opens in the air; just before the plane lands at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. If you are, lucky enough with the bright sunshine on your arrival day the wide range of soaring Himalayan Peaks to the North is a magnificent view. As you complete the immigration formalities of the airport and make your way out from the Arrivals Terminal, we would offer you a warm Nepalese welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel in a private vehicle. At hotel, you will have a very easy check-in procedure. Let the flight exhaustion go off in the cozy hotel room. In the evening, we will offer you a welcome dinner in one of the finest cultural restaurants of the city.
Day 2 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing & Preparation of Your Trek (1400m)
After the breakfast, we will escort you to Pashupatinath- the largest Hindu Temple of Nepal in a private vehicle. The temple dedicated to supreme Hindu God, Shiva banks Bagmati River. At Pashupatinath you will get to see exceptionally carved statues and idols of Hindu deities, a long row of Shiva-Lings, series of small temples and the golden hood at the top of main Temple is truly fascinating. Moreover, an opportunity to witness the Hindu Death ritual at Aryaghat Pashupatinath is an offbeat cultural experience. After the exploration of Pashupatinath we will walk along the busy streets of Kathmandu to Boudhanath. A large domed shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal. A major shrine on ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet. Saffron robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of large monument and the and outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs makes this place a true Tibet outside Tibet. Post lunch the sightseeing tour continues to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The exemplary wooden and stone craftsmanship at the site makes a place the prominent attraction for tourists. The stone paved streets, pagoda style religious monuments inclusive different Hindu deities are the cultural delights of ancient and medieval Nepal at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Today’s final destination for sightseeing tour in Kathmandu takes you to Swayambhunath. A self emerged Buddhist stupa lies on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu with its watchful eyes. You will get to experience more about Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath.After the full day; sightseeing tour a private vehicle will escort you to your hotel.
Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara and Half Day Sightseeing in Pokhara (820m), 5-6 Hours Drive
After the breakfast, we will drive straight to Pokhara city, which is 200 km west from Kathmandu. It is a 6-7 hour drive by a tourist bus. This drive will take you through beautiful forests, deep gorges and some local villages on the way to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, check in to hotel. If the weather is clear, you can see the reflection of Mt. Machhapuchhre in the lake. In evening, boating in Fewa lake and explore lake side. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 4 : Fly to Jomsom (2710m) & Trek to Kagbeni (2800m.)
After breakfast in Pokhara, we head towards airport for an early morning flight to Jomsom. During your flight, you will be enjoying splendid views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. After reaching Jomsom and resting for a while, from here your trekking starts and you will trek towards Kagbeni (2800m). Kagbeni is a traditional town with medieval looks and interesting alleys that used to be in the ancient Nepal. Once you reach Kagbeni, Rest of the time, you will visit surrounding area like Yak cheese Factory, Kyanjin Monastery and local houses.
Day 5 : Trek to Chele (3550m)
As we start the trek today, we follow the trail that heads up to the eastern bank of the Kaligandaki River. Then we climb over several ridges to the north and arrive to beautiful mountainous hamlet Tangbe. The village winds through numerous narrow gullies from one white washed house to another. We also can observe artistically made buckwheat, barley and wheat fields as well as the scenario of apple orchards. Throughout this part of trek from Kagbeni to Tangbe we see several shapes of Mt. Nilgiri dominating the skyline.Trekking for almost thirty minutes we reach Chhusang Village and then we cross the river to ascend up to a huge red hill accumulated with composite rocks. Finally we leave behind the Kali Gandaki Valley and climb along the steep gully of rocks to Chele. The first village of Upper Mustang Trek where the signs of Tibetan culture of Lo people is seen.
Day 6 : Trek to Geling (3500m)
After the breakfast, as we continue our trek the trail stretches along the steep and arid region to the pass occupied by piles of stones via the scenic and vertical canyon. Beyond the pass we trek down gradually to sacred chorten over the ridge and continue to drop down along the comfortable trail to Samar. Beyond Samar, we slide up to a ridge followed by a downhill climb to a large gorge from where the trail extends to another wide valley. We cross the stream and ascend up to a ridge at 3800m. The uphill climb continues to another pass and chase the trail along the ridge before sliding down to Shyangmochen. Finally, the gradual climb over the pass at 3770meters followed by a downhill climb will bring us to Geling Village.
Day 7 : Trek to Charang (3550m)
Today’s trek will be relatively easier. The trail gently goes up by crossing the interesting passes, steel bridge at Tangmar River, gray and red cliffs and Mani walls. Now, you will have to walk downhill to reach the Charang village by crossing the pass at 3600m. Charang houses five huge stories of Dzong and Red Gompa and collection of Statues and Thankas as well.
Day 8 : Trek to Lo - Manthang (3800m)
You will spend the part of the morning exploring the interesting village of Charang and its large monastery, before setting out for Lo Manthang. As the trek begins we climb up to Lo-Gekar Gompa. The monastery is older than Samye Monasteryin Tibet and probably one of the oldest ones in Nepal.Explore Lo-Gekar Gompa and resume the trek to Lomanthang. The trek today is relatively easier. It has minor ups and downs. The highland route offers dramatic views of Lo Manthang and the Charang Valley amidst the snow-clad peaks in the background.
Day 9 : Acclimatization and Exploration Lo Manthang(3800m)
This day will be very interesting, as you will explore the surrounding areas of Lo- Manthang village. Firstly, you will visit Namgyal Gompa. Namgyal Gompa, situated on a hilltop, serves as an important monastery for the local community and also as a local court. After visiting Namgyal Gompa, you will continue the tour to Tingkhar, the last main village to the northwest of Lo-Mangthang. Or you may have another option to visit the Tall Champa Lakhang – “God House", the red Thugchen Gompa, Chyodi Gompa and the Entrance Hall which are the other major attraction of this small town. To enhance the architectural beauty of the place, there is a magnificent four - storey King's palace.
Day 10 : Trek to Ghami (3500m)
Today you will descend from Lo Manthang and make headway to the village of Ghami as a last destination for the day. It is a lovely village with lots and lots of barley farmland and white washed houses.
Day 11 : Trek to Samar (3550m)
Leaving Ghami, you will follow a narrow winding path crossing a small stram until you reach Geling. En route, you can enjoy good view of Nilgiri Mountain, deserted landscapes, Tibetan style villages and their life style, terraced farming and natural vegetation.
Day 12 : Trek to Kagbeni (2800m)
From Samar to Kagbeni, you will walk about seven hours first following a descending path and then cross a suspension bridge over Kaligandaki River to reach Chhuksang. Continuing the trek, you will walk along the bank of the Kaligandaki River with amidst natural vegetation and apple orchards. Finally you will reach Kagbeni.
Day 13 : Trek to Jomsom (2710m)
Today you will trek up to Jomsom (2713m), which generally takes about three hours. The trail first passes through the bank of the Kaligandaki River and then through Eklebhatti. The trail is windy in the early afternoons. From there, you will head towards Jomsom – headquarter of Mustang, where you can have access to the Internet and banking facilities.
Day 14 : Fly to Pokhara (820m)
After breakfast you can check in the airport to fly back to Pokhara: a 30-minutes flight between the gorges of two huge mountains, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Once we reach Pokhara, check into hotel and evening explore lakeside. Overnight at pokhara.
Day 15 : Drive to Kathmandu (1400m.)
Today after breakfast you will be driven to Kathmandu in a tourist bus. By 3 in the afternoon you will arrive to Kathmandu. Rest of the time you can enjoy the free time at Kathmandu shopping and relaxing. In the evening we will enjoy the farewell dinner in Kathmandu's one of the best cultural restaurants.
Day 16 : Departure Day from Kathmandu (1400m)
This is your last day in Nepal. You can do shopping or buy some souvenirs for your family, friends or relatives until your departure to airport. We will transfer you to the International Airport for your departure to your onward destination.
