Day 1 : Arrive in Delhi – Transfer to Hotel
On arrival in Delhi, our Executive will welcome you at the airport and introduce our Driver to you. Check in the hotel and take rest for the remaining hours.
Day 2 : Delhi – Drive to Haridwar (5-6 Hrs Drive)
After a relaxed breakfast drive to Haridwar- It is one of the 7 holiest places of Hindus in India. It is located in the foothills of Himalaya and also it is the place where the Ganges reaches the plains. Many temples and Ashrams are located in this region and visit to Haridwar is like stepping into a divine world. Haridwar means “Gateway to God". It has pleasant climate throughout the year as it is located in the Himalayan region, blessed with natural beauty. On arrival check in at your hotel and relax for a while.
There are no major sightseeing places in Haridwar or Rishikesh only the temple visits, Ashrams and witnessing the Aarti ceremony at evenings.
Later in the evening visit to Har Ki Pauri- this is the place where the famous Kumbh Mela takes place in every 12 years- this is the main Ghat of Haridwar where the evening Aarti Ceremony takes place every day. Large numbers of devotees take holy dip in this Ghat. Without visiting this place, a visit to Haridwar will remain incomplete. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Day 3 : Haridwar Drive to Rishikesh (1 Hr Drive)
Today morning visit to Manasadevi temple- it is dedicated to Goddess Manasa Devi, this temple is perched on the top of the Bilwa Parwat. This temple can be reached by ropeway or by foot. Visit to Daksha Mahadev temple- this is an ancient Shiva temple located in the South Kankhal. Then visit to Pawan Dham- it is a modern temple and made entirely by glass pieces.
Later drives to Rishikesh, on arrival check in at your hotel and relax for a while.
This holy town- Rishikesh- lies in the foothills of the Himalayas. This is also famous Hindu religious site located on the banks of the Ganges like Haridwar. It is the Gateway to the Himalayas and is an ideal place not only for the Hindu pilgrims, but also for the people who are interested in Meditation, Yoga, Ayurveda & adventure activities like trekking, rafting etc. Rishikesh is also known as “The World Capital of Yoga”. It has pleasant weather throughout the year and there are many temples and ashrams are situated in & around Rishikesh.
Later visit to Laxman Jhula- it is a 450ft long hanging bridge constructed on the River Ganga. Take a walk on this bridge, look at the majestic Gages River and visit a 13 storied temple nearby this bridge. The bridge gives a magnificent view of the Ganges and you can also enjoy the cool breeze from the river. Then to Ram Jhula- this is also an iron suspension bridge, constructed over the River Ganges and it connects Shivananda Ashram and Swargashram. It offers an excellent view of the river as well as the Ghats on both the sides. Visit to Geeta Bhawan- situated on the banks of River Ganges nearby the Laxman Jhula. The role of Gita Bhawan is to preserve the Hindu epics and Vedic literature. Later in the evening attend the Aarathi Ceremony at Parmarth Niketan Ashram. It is the largest ashram in Rishikesh. This ashram organizes International yoga festival every year during March. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
Day 4 : Rishikesh – Drive to Mussoorie (3 Hrs Drive)
Today morning visit to Triveni Ghat- It is believed that the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati are flowing together underground at this Triveni Ghat. Thousands of people take holy bath daily in this Ghat to wash their sins. This is also an important place to watch the Aarathi ceremony performed to the Ganges.
Later drive to Mussoorie.
Mussoorie is one of the most famous hill stations in the Himalayan region and it offers spectacular views of the Himalayas. Throughout the year, climate is cool and pleasant in Mussoorie. Mussoorie is also famous for Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration where officers are trained for Indian Administrative Service (I.A.S). If you are the adventurous type, then try trekking or horse riding or try river rafting in the bubbling brooks.
On arrival check in at your hotel and relax for a while.
Later visit to Company Garden – a colorful garden filled with colorful flowers. A mini lake with a small artificial waterfall adds extra beauty to this garden. A telescope in the garden makes the tourists to feel very near to the Himalayas. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.
Day 5 : Mussoorie
After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing of Mussoorie. Visit to Kempty Falls- it is 15 Km away from Mussoorie & it is one of the most fascinating water falls in Uttarkhand. Then visit to Gun Hill, a perfect place for a sojourn. During the British period a gun was mounted in that hill and fired at noon every day to inform the local people what time it was. So it is called as Gun Hill. Later visit to Jwalaji temple- it is located on the top of Benog Hill. It is dedicated to Goddess Durga. This temple on the hill looks like a crown in the hill. It is surrounded by thick forest and offers a fantastic view of Yamuna Valley. Then visit to Camel’s back road- it starts from Kulri Bazar and ends at Library Bazaar. Take a walk & enjoy the surroundings. Later in the evening visit to Mall Road or walk around the Mussoorie Lake to view the enchanting view of Doon valley.
Day 6 : Mussoorie – Transfer to Dehradun – Fly- (or Train from Haridwar) - Delhi
Today morning you will be transferred to Dehradun airport to catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel and relax.
Another option to reach Delhi from Mussoorie is travelling by train from Haridwar. It will take 3hrs – 3.5 hrs drive to Haridwar Railway station. From Haridwar, you can take an evening train to Delhi.
Day 7 : Delhi – Departure
Today depending on your flight schedule, you will be met and transferred to airport to catch your international flight.
