Dalhousie is a famous hill station resort of Himachal Pradesh. Because of its proximity to J&K, it is one of the favourite destinations who are visiting Vaishno Devi. Dalhousie attracts thousands of tourists due to its climate, scenic beauty. It also gets ample of snow in winters. It was named after British Governer general Lord Dalhosie.10-0131-03

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Pick up from Jammu Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Katra. Check into the hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Katra.
• Day 2 : Vaishno Devi Darshan

  Early morning after breakfast, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. Trek down to Katra after Darshan. Overnight stay at Katra.
• Day 3 : Proceed for Dalhousie & Local Sightseeing

  Early morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed for Dalhousie, a famous Hill Resort in Himachal Pradesh (220 Kms from Katra) which spreads over five low-level hills at the western edge of the Dhauladhar range, just east of the Ravi River. This place is situated at 6000-9000 feet above sea level. Check into the hotel. Local sightseeing at Dalhousie like Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chownk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the last but not least old Churches of Dalhousie. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.
• Day 4 : Khajjiar

  After breakfast, proceed for Khajjiar which is a vast emerald green meadow with thick forested slopes of deodars. This place is also known as Gulmarg of Himachel Pradesh & mini Switzerland of India. It is 23 Kms from Dalhousie by road and 13 Kms from Kalatop. Khajjiar is a forest glade of great beauty, 6400 feet above sea level". You may enjoy paragliding here during peak tourist season. Back to Dalhousie in the evening. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

• Day 5 : Departure

  After breakfast, visit local market of Dalhousie. In the afternoon, check out from the hotel & proceed for Pathankot/Chakki Bank to drop at Railway Station for return journey. In case of departure from Jammu, proceed for Jammu in the early morning and drop at Railway Station/Airport.
