Vaishno Devi Shrine is near Katra Town. Nearest Airport and Railway station is Jammu. Indian Railways ply many Trains to Jammu. Many Volvo Buses ply between New Delhi and Jammu/Katra. It is 2 Hour drive from Jammu to Katra. Many cheap option to travel from Jammu Railway stations are also available. You will pass through town of Nagrota before reaching Katra. Katra is 15 Km from Domel on left side of the Jammu Srinagar National Highway. Katra has Bustand, where luxury and volvo buses arrive from Delhi via Jammu. Trikuta Hills where Maa Vaishnavi resides will be visible as you approach Katra Town from Domel. Vaishno Devi Temple Darshans have a special significance during Navratris or Navratras during which SMVDSB and JKTDC organises special programs in Katra town. Many people visit the shrine during festivals like Diwali or Holi.Any extra Adult or Child (> 5 years) other than mentioned in the Inclusives above (Same shall be directly charged at the Hotel/Houseboat/Camp)

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival - Jammu - Vaishno Devi Darshans

  Pick up from Jammu Railway Station/Airport in the early morning and transfer to Katra (50 Kms). After getting fresh, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan- one of the most popular pilgrimages of India situated in the lap of Trikuta mountains across Katra town at an altitude of around 5200 feet. Yatra involves a trek of nearly 12 Kms from base camp at Katra known as Ban Ganga. Alternate way to perform darshans is by Ponies/Palkis/ Helicopter. If time permits, visit Bhairo Temple & return back to Katra in the evening. Overnight stay at Katra.
• Day 2 : Katra - Jammu - Departure

  After breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed for Jammu to drop at Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with sweet memories of the tour.
