Vaishnodevi - Dalhousie Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Jammu / Katra

  Arrive Jammu airport or railway station. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and drive to Katra. The distance is about 50 kms, will be covered in about 2 hours, upon arrival in Katra you will be transferred to the hotel. Katra is the starting point for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. Overnight in hotel.
• Day 2 : Katra - Vaishno Devi - Katra

  Early in the morning we proceed further to visit the Holy temple of Vaishno Devi. This temple is situated on the top of the hill. To visit this temple one has to hire pony or travel by foot. From Katra the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage is about 12 kms. After visiting the temple we return back to Katra the same day. Overnight in hotel.
• Day 3 : Katra - Dalhousie

  Early morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed for Dalhousie, a famous Hill Resort in Himachal Pradesh (220 Kms from Katra) which spreads over five low-level hills at the western edge of the Dhauladhar range, just east of the Ravi River. This place is situated at 6000-9000 feet above sea level. Check into the hotel. Local sightseeing at Dalhousie like Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chownk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the last but not least old Churches of Dalhousie. Overnight stay at Dalhousie
• Day 4 : Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Khajjiar

  After breakfast, proceed for Khajjiar which is a vast emerald green meadow with thick forested slopes of deodars. This place is also known as Gulmarg of Himachel Pradesh & mini Switzerland of India. It is 23 Kms from Dalhousie by road and 13 Kms from Kalatop. Khajjiar is a forest glade of great beauty, 6400 feet above sea level.You may enjoy paragliding here during peak tourist season. Back to Dalhousie in the evening. Overnight stay at Dalhousie

• Day 5 : Departure

  After breakfast, visit local market of Dalhousie. In the afternoon, check out from the hotel & proceed for Pathankot/Chakki Bank to drop at Railway Station for return journey. In case of departure from Jammu, proceed for Jammu in the early morning and drop at Railway Station/Airport Drop.
