Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Caracas.

Warm welcome with folded hand at Caracas (South America) airport , On arrival meeting & assistance and transfer to hotel and take rest. In the evening briefing with your guide who accompanies you throughout the tour.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 : Drive from Caracas to National Park Tacarigua de la Laguna.

Today morning after leisure breakfast, you will drive east; crossing mountains covered by varied vegetation, passing Caucagua, one of the largest cocoa cultivations in Venezuela, until you finally reach Tacarigua de la Lguna. At the entrance of the National Park you will take a boat for approx. 20 minutes for a ride over the lagoon until you arrive at the Hotel Tortuga Lodge, situated on a 30 km beach. This Hotel can only be reached by boat. The National Park is famous for its mangles, the red ibis (and more than 150 species of birds) the Caiman “de la Costa” and three different species of marine turtles.Evening free for leisure.

Day 3 : Drive to Mochima National Park (B,L,D)

After leisure breakfast you will take the coastal route towards Barcelona/Puerto la Cruz. Behind this “double” city lies the national park of Mochima. The road leads you over several hills with fabulous views over the bays of Mochima and the islands near the coast. You will stay at Villa Majagual, a beautiful seafront Posada.
Overnight stay at Villa Majagual.
Day 4 : Morning at leisure. Afternoon drive to Cumana.

To day morning after leisure breakfast, you might just relax at the beach or take an optional boat tour in the National Park. In the afternoon, you will drive to Cumaná, for a short city tour. Overnight stay at the Posada San Francisco near downtown Cumaná.
Day 5 : Drive to Caripe.

After leisure breakfast, you will drive to Caripe. After lunch you will visit the Guacharo’s Cave, once explored by Alexander von Humboldt. The cave is inhabited by the guacharo, a sort of nightjar, dweller of the darkness and unique in the world. In the first section of the cave, there are enormous stalactites and stalagmites, which have grown together forming interesting shapes. In the Hall of Silence, these formations glitter and gleam in thousands of colors reflecting the light of the lanterns. Deep down below we hear a roaring river. At twilight, you can watch the birds leaving the cave with loud shrieks to go on their nightly flight.
Overnight stay at Hotel Pueblo Pequeño.
Day 6 : Drive to the Orinoco Delta.

After leisure breakfast, you continue your journey to Maturín, the most important city of the oil-industry in the east of the country. Heading southeast from there, you will drive through the open savanna crossing Tucupita to Palo Blanco. You will embark on a boat ride through the branches of the river, bordered by dense tropical rain forest and inhabited by monkeys, birds and other animals. At sunset, On arrival check into Flotel Warao Lodge and take rest. Evening free for Leisure.

Day 7 : Drive to Ciudad Bolívar.

After leisure breakfast, you will take a boat excursion to observe monkeys, a variety of birds like tucans and parrots and, maybe even fresh water dolphins. On a small river branch, you will disembark to go for an adventurous walk on swampy ground into the virgin delta forest. You will learn about the endemic vegetation, such as the Moriche palm-tree, the Natives´ “tree of life”, its multiple using possibilities, and its delicious taste. You will also visit one of the Native families that live on the river banks and are known for their beautiful work in arts and crafts. You continue your journey to Boca de Uracoa and drive across endless pine forests which are planted for producing cellulose. Finally, you will reach the banks of the Orinoco and embark on a ferry cross Venezuela’s longest river into Puerto Ordaz. From here it is one hour to Ciudad Bolívar.
Overnight stay at Posada Angostura.
Day 8 : Transfer to the airport.

After leisure breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Caracas Airport and take your flight for onward journey.
Day 9 : Transfer to the airport.
