Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Hochiminh City Arrival

  Upon arrival in Hochiminh, meet at Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transfer to hotel. Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a centre of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This afternoon, the sightseeing tour acquaints us with the city's major sights. Firstly, we visit War Remnants Museum to understand more about violent wars in Vietnam. We pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before exploring the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. Close to this palace are some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. Then, we continue our trip on to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale. Dinner at a local restaurant & Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

• Day 2 : Cu Chi Tunnels - Hochiminh City Tour

  Pick up at your hotel.
  Private trip to Cu Chi Tunnels where is 70km from Hochiminh City. It is miniature battle versatile of Cu Chi’s military and people during the 30-year war between Viet Nam and America. It also is the special architecture lying deeply underground with many stratums, nooks and crannies as complex as a cobweb, having spares for living, meeting and fighting with total lengths over 200 km. Real legends coming from the Tunnel are over human imaginativeness. Creeping down into the tunnel, only some yards, you can find out why Vietnam? A tiny country could defeat its enemy, the large and richest country in the world. Transfer back to Hochiminh City for lunch.

  Visit China Town, Binh Tay market, Thien Hau pagoda and lacquerware workshop.

• Day 3 : Mekong Delta Tour

  Drive to My Tho, a capital of Tien Giang Province, is an inland port in the Mekong River Delta which is two-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City. Cruise on Tien River to visit Thoi Son Islet by motorized boat, you will see the My Tho fishing village with floating fish farm, stilt houses and fruit plantation along the river bank. Walking on the village road, you will visit tropical orchards, bee - keeping farm, taste natural honey and honey wine, enjoy tropical fruits and traditional local folk songs, explore the local coconut candy production process, taste candy & coconut pulp. You will have a chance to try a rowing boat ride along the creeks, under the shadow of the water coconut trees also.
  Lunch at local restaurant.
  Dinner is on your own.
  Transfer back to Hochiminh.

• Day 4 : Sai Gon - Danang - Hoi An

  Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Danang. Arrive at Danang, transfer to Hoian. Stop en route to visit Cham Sculpture museum which preserves sculpture items featuring the cultural, spiritual and ritual lives of the Cham people. Arrive in Hoian check-in at a homestay and lunch at a local restaurant.
  Afternoon, visit Hoi An market, an old house, the Japanese covered Bridge, the Fukien Assembly Hall and local handcraft workshops. Evening free at leisure to relax and exploring Hoi An by night. Overnight at homestay in Hoi An.

• Day 5 : Hoi An - Danang - Hue

  Breakfast at hotel
  Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Hue city via Hai Van Pass for whole view of Pacific Ocean and famous Lang Co fishing village.
  Have lunch at a restaurant.
  Afternoon, take a boat trip on Perfume River, visit Thien Mu pagoda. Then visit Hue Imperial Citadel and Minh Mang Royal Tomb. In the evening, free at leisure.

• Day 6 : Hue - Hanoi

  After breakfast at hotel
  Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Hanoi Capital. Arrive in Hanoi, pick up at the airport and transfer to hotel foe check- in. lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, visit One Pillar pagoda, Temple of Literature and Museum of Ethnology. Take a bicycle tour to visit Hanoi Old Quarter. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

• Day 7 : Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hanoi

  After breakfast at hotel, driver to Tam Coc, often called "Dry Halong Bay". Limestone karsts rise from rice fields and winding streams. Visit the famous ancient temples of the Le and the Dinh Dynasties. Cycling for an hour on picturesque quite roads through villages, rice fields, rivers to Tam Coc (around 12km) for lunch. After lunch, enjoy the spectacular scenery during a leisurely boat ride in traditional local sampans paddling through Three caves (Tam Coc in Vietnamese). Take a short rest before coming back to the wharf. Visit Bai Dinh pagoda which is famous for its great size and imposingness. Transfer to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

• Day 8 : Hanoi - Halong Bay

  Breakfast at hotel.
  Depart for for a 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay.
  You will arrive at Tuan Chau International Marina on the harbor of Halong’s biggest island. From here a tender boat will take you to our Halong Phoenix Cruiser. A refreshing welcome drink is served and you can check into your cabin.
  
  PM: As you settle into your cabin, our boat sets sail to the centre of this World Heritage site. Lunch is served in the restaurant while you enjoy the amazing scenery and delicious lunch of fresh local seafood or your requested vegetarian meal.
  From the marina area, our cruiser passes by Dog Head and Swan Islands, Ba Hang Floating villages (with floating houses), Incense Burner and Thumb Islands before reaching the Luom Bo area for kayaking.
  Around 3pm, we have time to gear up for one hour of kayaking around Luom Bo area (the provincial border between Quang Ninh province and Cat Ba National Park of Hai Phong).
  Your guide will show you some basic safety guidelines and techniques for paddling, before assisting you on our brand new sit-on-top kayaks. The kayaking area is so quiet that you will feel like the bay is untouched. You will see no other boats nor kayakers, beyond your group and our Phoenix Cruiser.
  As the sun sets over the bay, we head back to our cruise and relax. Coffee, tea and fruits will be available on the sundeck or you can order your favorite drink from the bar.
  The Halong Phoenix Cruiser continues to sail to a private, quiet anchorage area for the evening.
  Dinner is served with local seafood and then you may choose to enjoy a drink from the bar or experience squid fishing, before retiring.

• Day 9 : Halong Bay - Hanoi

  AM: Breakfast is served from 7.30am until 8.30am. After that, you will visit an impressive grotto of Halong Bay – Surprising (Sung Sot) Cave, with your guide.
  Return to the Halong Phoenix cruiser to begin your return journey to the harbor and experience viewing other areas and islands of Halong Bay.
  10AM: A cooking demonstration onboard shows you how to make authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. You will learn about the recipes and the techniques that create this popular dish of the Vietnamese people.
  Lunch is served on the boat as you near the harbor.
  12:00AM: Depart the Halong Phoenix cruiser and travel by tender boat back to the marina where you then board the bus for your return journey to Hanoi arriving at your hotel at approximately 16:30
