Visakhapatnam's history stretches back to the 6th century BCE and the city finds mention in ancient texts such as the 4th century BCE writings of Pāṇini and Katyayana. Historically considered part of the Kalinga region,[32][33] it was ruled by the Vengi kingdom and the Pallava and Eastern Ganga dynasties during medieval times.[26] Archaeological records suggest that the present city was built around the 11th and 12th centuries C.E. by the Chola dynasty king Kulothunga I. Control over the city fluctuated between the Chola dynasty of Tamil Nadu and the Gajapati Kingdom of Odisha[32][33] until its conquest by the Vijayanagara Empire in the 15th century.[26] European powers eventually set up trading interests in the city and Visakhapatnam came under French rule at the end of the 18th century.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Vizag Arrival - Sightseeing:

  On arrival at Vizag Our Company Tour Guide OR Representative will pick up you from the Station, then transfer to hotel. After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing. Places to be visit: Bheemili Beach, Thotlakonda, Ramanaidu Film Studio, Rushikonda beach, Kailasagiri Hill, Thenneti park, Vuda Park, Submarine Museum, Visakha Museum, TU-142 Aircraft Museum & Fish Aquarium at 8 PM return to hotel. Night halt at Vizag.

• Day 2 : Vizag - Araku

  After early breakfast, check out from the hotel, then proceed to Araku by Train. Enroot visit, Tyda Railway Tunnels, Valley viewpoints. Upon arrival, proceed to Araku local visits. Places of visits: Chaprai Waterfalls, Padmapuram Garden, Tribal’s habits Museum. Later transfer to hotel. You can enjoy Dhimsa Dance of Tribal People by evening at Resort. Overnight halt at resort.

• Day 3 : Araku- Borra Cave - Vizag

  After breakfast, check out from the hotel then proceeds for sightseeing. Places will be covered: Borra Caves Dhamaku viewpoints, and coffee plantations. After completion of the Borra Caves departure to Visakhapatnam. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
