Kafunta River Lodge

Accommodation at Kafunta River Lodge will be in our luxury en-suite safari chalets, right on the river bank looking out onto the hippo pods, crocodiles and myriad bird life. The chalets have that wonderful authentic Africa-under-canvas feel but with a couple of modern touches. All chalets are mosquito-proofed, have electric lights, charging points and fans, as well as an open air bathroom with hot shower,mini bar,private verandah with stunning views from rooms.

Central to the lodge is the spacious lounge and dining area that has been thatched in the traditional style. A tall old semi-evergreen wild mango tree in the centre gives shade on sunny days.
Here is a welcoming camp fire which is lit each evening as the sun goes down and guests and guides meet around the fire to share the latest stories of wildlife encounters or, simply to listen to the sounds of the bush.
Kafunta's spacious wooden deck above the waterhole provides our guests with undisturbed views over the plain. You can absorb the stunning location and, while darkness falls, enjoy sumptuous candle lit meals under a vast African night sky, whilst watching as animals of all types come to the floodlit waterhole, a simply magical experience.

Meet & Greet Service: Available at Lusaka Airport. Fares are confirmed once we hold flight reservations. Booking Information: A deposit of 25% of the quoted rate is required to confirm the booking. Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival.
90 - 31 days: 50% cancellation fee. 31 - 0 days: 100% cancellation fee.
Children & Teen rate: Kafunta River Lodge, 6 to 12 years sharing with two adults 50% of the rate, teens 12 to 18 years sharing with two adults 75% of the rate. Island Bush Camp, no children under the age of 12 years.
