Weekend Kerala with Periyar Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin – Arrival – Munnar (132 Kms 04-05 Hrs )

  On arrival at Cochin Airport/ Ernakulum railway station receive by our local driver Cum guide and transfer to Munnar. Munnar is the hill station of Kerala and enroute see unforgettable natural beauty and tea plantations. Enroute admire Cheeyappara & Vallara Falls. On arrival in Munnar check into the hotel and rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight Stay at hotel.

• Day 2 : Munnar Local Sight Seeing

  After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing of Munnar town which includes the visit to Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai and Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary famous for the Nilgiri Tahr and tea gardens. Return to hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
• Day 3 : Munnar – Thekkady (105 Kms 3-4 Hrs)

  After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Thekkady. En route see the panoramic Western Ghat hills covered with spice plantations and view of waterfalls and streams, several types of spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon and clove. Reach Thekkady till afternoon and check into hotel. Later proceed for boating on the Periyar Lake (optional) through Periyar Tiger reserve and experience a view of calm crystal clear Periyar Lake and sanctuary. Watch different wild animals while boating. Stay overnight at Periyar. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
• Day 4 : Munnar – Alleppey (House Boat) (160 Kms 5-6 Hrs )

  After the breakfast check out the hotel and Transfer to Allepey famous for backwaters and houseboats. On arrival, check into houseboat and spend the day at leisure. Houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy lunch, evening tea/coffee with snacks and dinner on it. Stay overnight in houseboat.
• Day 5 : Alleppey-Cochin (53 Kms)

  Morning after breakfast check out from Hotel till 10:00 am and drive to Cochin Air Port/Railway Station for your onwards journey with ever memorable moments.
