Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati- Kaziranga

  You will be met at the airport/ railway station and driven to Kaziranga (5 hours). Evening in the hotel.
• Day 2 : Elephant and jeep safari in Kaziranga

  Very early in the morning, you will go for an elephant safari and then a Jeep safari in the evening. The usual sightings at the park are of rhinos, elephants, deer, Asiatic buffaloes, Sambars, boars and a wide variety of birds, including migratory birds. Rest of the evening relax in the resort.

• Day 3 : Kaziranga- Shillong

  Start off in the morning for a 6 hours' drive to Shillong, the capital of the state of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi tribe. Shillong has rightly earned the sobriquet of "Scotland of the East" owing to the rolling hills, beautiful scenery and climate. On the way to Shillong you will visit the beautiful Umiam lake, a major tourist attraction located just before entering Shillong. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Relax in the hotel.
• Day 4 : Day trip to Cherrapunji and Mawlynnong

  In the morning after breakfast visit Shillong peak and get a bird's eye view of the entire city of Shillong and then go to Elephanta falls and then drive to Cherrapunjee, the erstwhile rainiest place in the world. On the way, experience the beautiful rolling hills, the flora and the waterfalls, most importantly the Nohkalikai or Seven Sisters Falls, a seven segmented waterfall which falls from a height of over a 1000 ft. A visit to the living root bridge and drive to Dawki, then go to Mawlynnong, a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. on the border with Bangladesh Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as 'God's own garden' too. Go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. Drive back to Shillong.

  In the morning depart for Guwahati for a flight/ train back home.
