Day 1 : Kolkata
Kolkata (Calcutta) was nothing more than a village but today it is one of the major metropolitan cities of India along with Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai and the credit for its present status goes to British Raj, who made Kolkata as their capital. During the British Raj Kolkata was known as the " Jewel of East" and was the capital of the country till 1911. Kolkata is still called the culture Capital of India.You will be well received on your arrival at the Kolkata airport and transfer to hotel.
After check- in formality, you will check in to the room.Overnight in Kolkata.
Day 2 : : Kolkata
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for full day city tour of Kolkata, visiting Howard Bridge, which is also known as Rabindra Setu. Victoria Memorial, which is a huge white-marble structure and the most enduring of remains of the British Raj in India. St. Paul" s Cathedral church, constructed between 1839 and 1847 in Gothic style with stained glass windows and two Florentine frescoes, the cathedral is the largest in the city. Belur Math, one of the finest specimens of temple architecture in India. The architecture on display at Belur Math has a harmonious fusion of three principal world religion i.e. Christian (church), Mohammedan (mosque) and Hinduism (temple). The architectural design of Belur Math is a reflection of the "International Brotherhood of Religion" which was preached by the 19th century spiritual giant and seer - Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansadev. Dakshineshwar Kali Temple, one of the renowned pilgrim places in Kolkata built by Rani Rashmani in 1847, with its 12 spires holds the spiritual beauty in the lavish courtyards of the temple complex. The famous spiritual leader Rama Krishna Parmahamsa is believed to have achieved spiritual vision in the temple. Overnight in Kolkata.
Day 3 : Kolkata Guwahati
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to airport to board flight to Guwahati.Guwahati is situated on the south bank of river Brahmaputra. It is considered to be the gateway to North East India.You will be well received at Guwahati airport and drive straight to Mans Tiger Reserve. Manas Tiger Reserve is the most scenic park in Asia. It is home to the Indian Gaur, elephants and a large numbers of primates including the almost extinct Golden Langur. This park is a paradise for nature lovers and blessed with a beautiful combination of grasslands and woodlands. It is a home to around 20 highly endangered species including pygmy hog, Royal Bengal Tigers, Asiatic Elephants, Hornbill, Hispid Hare etc. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this extremely picturesque park is located in the foothill of the Bhutan Himalayas.Arrive Manas and check in to your hotel. In the evening, proceed for 1st Jeep Safari into Manas National Park.Overnight in Manas.
Day 4 : Manas Tiger Reserve
Early morning, proceed for an elephant safari (subject to availability).Return to hotel for breakfast.Later, proceed for 2nd Jeep Safari into Manas.Return to hotel and rest of the day at leisure. In the later afternoon, proceed for a nature walk in and around the park. Overnight in Manas.
Day 5 : : Manas National Park
Early morning, proceed for an elephant safari (subject to availability).Return to hotel for breakfast. Later, drive towards Guwahati.Arrive Guwahati and check in to your hotel.In the evening, proceed to visit Srimanta Shankerdeva Kalashetra, a multi-art complex portrays the rich cultural diversity and life of Assam as well as that of the North-east. This art complex has been named after the greatest Vaishnava saint and the integrator of the Assamese society, which is why it is chosen as the venue for many cultural activities.Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 6 : Guwahati - Nameri National Park
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Nameri National Park.Nameri National Park is famous for its bird-life, specially the White-winged wood duck. Nameri National Park is located on the banks of the river Bhorelli on the northern side of the Brahmaputra. Situated on the foothills of the great Himalayas, it is another tiger reserve. Deciduous forests with the river Bhorelli flowing by its side, have added a unique charm to it. A trek inside the forest enables good sighting of the White Winged Wood Duck. One can also go for white water rafting and angling (golden Mahseer).Arrive Nameri and check in to your hotel.In the evening, proceed for 1st Jeep Safari into Nameri National Park.Overnight in Nameri.
Day 7 : Nameri - Kaziranga National Park
This early morning, proceed to explore Nameri National Park by trekking around the outer fringe of the forest.Return to hotel for breakfast.After breakfast at hotel, drive to Kaziranga.Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO world Heritage Site and a home to the great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros. The other wildlife include the Asiatic Water Buffalo, Elephant, Tiger, Leopard, Hog Deer, Sambar, Swamp Deer and Barking Deer. Kaziranga is a home to about 400 species of birds as well including Pheasant, Graylag Goose, Gadwall, Swamp Francolin, Khalij, Mallard, Northern Shovler, Northern Pintail, Streak Throated Woodpecker, Bay Woodpecker, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Falconets, Greater Adjutant Stork and a large number of Spotted Billed Pelican. Arrive Kaziranga and check in to your hotel.In the afternoon, proceed for 1st Jeep Safari into Kaziranga National Park.Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 8 : Kaziranga National Park
This early morning, proceed for an elephant safari (subject to availability).Return to hotel for breakfast.Later, proceed for 2nd Jeep Safari into Kaziranga National Park.Return to hotel and rest of the day at leisure.In the afternoon, proceed for 3rd Jeep Safari into Kaziranga National Park.Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 9 : Kaziranga National Park - Dibrugarh
This early morning, proceed for a nature trek to Panbari Range with packed breakfast. It us a reserve forest and a natural corridor to the adjoining Karbi Hills.You can see woodland birds here like the Shama, Paradise Flycatcher etc.
In the afternoon, drive towards Dibrugarh, enroute visit the monuments and temples of the Ahom Dynasty at Sivasagar.Sivasagar was once the capital of the Ahom Kings. The Shans who came from Thailand through Northern Myanmar to this area in early 13th century, ruled for 600 years. The Siva Temple, built by the Ahoms, situated here is believed to be the tallest of all existing Hindu temples. The ruins of the Ahom palaces and monuments are still present around this historical town.Continue drive towards Dibrugarh.Arrive Dibrugarh and check in to your hotel.
In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance (Bihu dance) by an ethnic dance group.Bihu is a folk dance of Assam, usually performed in spring. It is a dance performed by the youth, depicting their joys and passions during the spring season. Overnight in Dibrugarh.
Day 10 : Dibrugarh - Kolkata- Fly
This early morning, proceed for a tea tour around a tea estate to learn all about the Indian tea- its origin, how it is grown, its quality and tea tasting.While driving through the tea plantations, spot birds like the Wood Pecker, Golden Oriole, White breasted Kingfisher, Pied Kingfisher etc.Return to hotel by noon.Later, you will be transferred to Dibrugarh airport to board flight to Kolkata.You will be well received on your arrival at Kolkata airport and transfer to hotel. Arrive hotel and check into your hotel.Overnight in Kolkata.
Day 11 : Kolkata - Rajkot-
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to airport to board flight to Rajkot via Mumbai.Arrive Rajkot and drive straight to Gir National Park.Gir National Park was established on 18th September 1965, as a Forest Reserve, primarily to conserve the Asiatic lions, which were classified as one of the World's most threatened species. Today, Gir National Park is the only place in the world, where one can see the Asiatic Lions. The sanctuary covers a total area of 1,412 Sq. Km of which 258 Sq. Km at the core forms the National park. Other wildlife animals in the Park are leopard, Sambar, spotted deer, blue bull, chinkara, wild boar and chousingha (the world's only four-horned antelope).Arrive Gir and check in to your hotel.Overnight in Sasan Gir.
Day 12 : Gir National Park
This early morning, proceed for 1st Jeep Safari into Gir National Park.Return to hotel for breakfast.Later, proceed to visit the historic town of Junagarh, which has a number of attractions that include forts, palaces and gardens.In the afternoon, proceed for 2nd Jeep Safari into Gir National Park.Overnight in Sasan Gir.
Day 13 : Gir National Park
This early morning, proceed for 3rd Jeep Safari into Gir National Park.Return to hotel for breakfast.Later, proceed to visit some Tribal villages, as some of the tribes still exists in the interiors of the park.Vising these tribal villages is an exciting experience that introduces the visitors to the unique lifestyle and ways of living of the tribal people.In the afternoon, proceed for 4th Jeep Safari into Gir National Park.Overnight in Sasan Gir.
Day 14 : Gir National Park
This early morning, proceed for 5th Jeep Safari into Gir National Park.Return to hotel for breakfast.Later, you will be transferred to Rajkot airport to board flight to Mumbai.You will be well received on your arrival at the Mumbai airport and transfer to the city centre for last minutes shopping etc.Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Mumbai International airport to board your flight back home with sweet memories of your India Trip!!
